Rated 5 de 5 de par Exceeded all expectations. This past weekend, I had the need to drill 4 holes in concrete. Not just any concrete and not just any hole. I have an Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) home with 8" concrete sandwiched between 2.5" Styrofoam. The holes are 1" in diameter, to fit exterior frost free faucets. I used a Bosch Blue Granite 1" x 12" bit, and honestly I don't know how it could have worked any better. If you think about the hole, that's s LOT of concrete to remove. The drill NEVER stalled or hesitated and it performed perfectly. Heavy chuck, long lighted plug cord. The swivel handle allows you to move the handle to the most comfortable location. I would buy **this** drill in a heart beat.

Rated 4 de 5 de par R5013 VRS HAMMER DRILL I purchased the original drill September 2016. I used it to take core samples of suspected infected trees. The drill overheated and seized. The R5013 VRS was repaired, under warranty, by the TOOL DOCTOR, Brockville Ontario. I purchased a replacement at HOME DEPOT, to complete the task. The new drill worked well, however, I stopped using it when I felt it overheating. I recommend a more powerful model, should Rigid have such a product. Lifetime Warranty is a great feature, and the repair/replacement was honoured with no charges to myself.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Ridgit Hammer Drill Been trying to use this drill for the past week to drill 5/16" holes in my foundation and it's been absolute nightmare with this drill. I initially thought that there was something wrong with it so I exchanged it. This drill takes forever to drill one 3" deep hole. I use very expensive German made drill bit so it is not the limitation. Do not use this drill if you have more than one hole to drill as it will drive you insane when you spent five minutes on a single hole. This is very strange as the cordless Ridgit drills are very good. The only thing this drill will hammer is your patience. Avoid at all costs.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Broke chuck during 6th hole! I needed a more powerful drill to replace my 20 year old tool for drilling through floor joists while installing piping. I bought this drill yesterday because of its 7.5 amp rating and because of the lifetime warranty. It seemed to be very similar to the Milwaukee product except that the chuck was made by Rohm instead of Jacobs. Well, I was impressed by the power of the drill and was looking forward to adding it to my tool collection. Lo and behold, right from the beginning, the chuck had trouble clamping down to hold a boring bit. No matter how tightly I cranked down the chuck, it still worked loose. During my sixth hole, I noticed that the bit had fallen out of the chuck. When I looked at the drill, one of the chuck jaws had broken. Sadly, the jaw showed a granularity to suggest that it was sintered metal or MIM instead of forged or machined steel. I guess that's how they kept cost down. This $99 drill turned out to cost me much more since I had to waste time drilling holes with my other brand cordless drill. My cordless drill was less powerful but it got the job done and held the bit without any problem. Ridgid needs to make the chuck good enough to stand up to the torque that can be placed on it by the motor. No question, the motor is strong and stout but the drill is no good without a suitable chuck. I returned this drill today. A lifetime warranty means nothing to a contractor if the tool is not dependable. What am I supposed to do? Drop what i'm doing to drive my drill to the nearest service center and wait for a repair or mail it in and wait for it to come back? No thanks. I spent the extra money for a Milwaukee like I should have done in the first place.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Perfect For The Weekend Project Warrior More drill than any average DIY guy would ever need. It seems it could hang with a professionals demands as well. Plenty of power, pluglight that indicates that the outlet is energized, paddle bits, masonry bits, brad bits........ive used it with all and no hiccups. If you break this drill it seems you may be using the wrong tool for the job, otherwise it has a lifetime service warranty.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Failed after three drillings.. Attempted to drill 1/2" holes in concrete. First hole worked fine. Second, the extra grip handle broke. Third hole, the chuck would no longer hold the bit.... Returned same day I bought it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par One Of The Best I have had this drill now for about 3 yrs. It has drilled anything and everything you can think of. Concrete, Brick, Cement Block, Cast Iron, Steel and many other materials and it has come through everything with flying colors. I've had other name brands which I won't mention and they never performed as well as this one. For the money it is worth every penny

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great drill with a life time warranty This is an excellent drill for all purpose. I have used it to drill in steel, concrete and wood and it worked beautifully. I have always hated drilling in concrete but with this drill, it was a breeze. I am buying this for my dad for father's day this year

Has this item been discontinued?

It seems to be out of stock again. Is there anyway to order it directly from ridgid? I really like that price....84 bucks for decent hammer drill with a lifetime service agreement.

Good for drilling through cinder block wall?

I need to make 1 x 10" hole, and 1 x 8" hole in an exterior mason block wall. Don't want to spend $400 to rent the core bits and core drill for this job, so would this tool do a good job to drill around the perimeter of such holes, with a 1/2" concrete bit for example?
Posée par: Carpot
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID! Yes, drilling in concrete is an application that the RIDGID R5013 hammer drill with its ½” chuck, is recommended for. Regards, RIDGID

What's the speed range. Can I use this for mixing mortar?

Posée par: Anonyme
It is not recommended as it spins to fast and does have the torque for a heavy application like that over time. It would damage the drill and void the warranty. Use the Ridgid Spade Handle Mixing drill for that application. Also spins slow enough to not put air into the mixture
