This saw out-performs my DeWalt in every way... power, comfort, accuracy, reliability. It was dead-accurate out of the box (checked with a digital caliper and angle gauge). A treated 4x4 doesn't even slow it down, and it can cut a 2x10 at 90 degrees, and a 2x8 at 45 in one pass. It just feels like a high quality and solid tool, and not plastic-y or cheap like so many others. As a remodeling contractor, I can't afford to replace my tools on a regular basis, so I buy the best and take care of them. I switched from yellow to orange a couple years ago, and I couldn't be happier. All my Ridgid tools have been performing to the high level of performance I need, and I expect this new R4210 to do the same. Highly recommend!

This thing is built like a tank like most other Ridgid products. It is similar is build to the 12 inch version but does not have the same wobble issue. Thus is a huge plus as I loved everything about that saw except the wobble. Mine came perfectly square right out of the box. It is a very well thought out product from an ergonomics standpoint. I have mine on a stand so I have not noted the handle issue noted by another reviewer. The LED lighting seems to be even more crisp on this one too. Really excited about this beast, good job Ridgid!

I liked the idea of a 10" blade as compared to a 12" blade (cheaper to buy, potentially more accurate, etc). Plus it was much lighter. I really wanted to like this saw, but it had a critical flaw that several other people have commented on. When the left and right fence extensions are tightened down, they "tip back" approximately 1/8" from square. If you are just making rough cuts for framing, this is probably not going to hinder your work at all. However, for finish work like cutting baseboard standing up, or cutting nested crown molding, this is a huge problem and makes this saw a no-go. Back to the store it went.

Was set up pretty well right out of the box, but I am unable to get the Left & Right Fence extensions to square up with the fixed vertical fences. When attached and tightened down, both the adjustable Right & Left extensions are not plumb with their bottom fixed counter parts. There is no way to adjust them, The only thought is that they were incorrectly-milled @ the factory. When fully tightened down, both adjustable fences lean back approximately 1/8" to 3/32". Thus making it very difficult to cut crown molding with precision. Any thoughts on this? Will you get back to me? Do you Care? Is there a remedy for this issue? Has any one else having this issue? Thanks for the inquiry. Bill

Rated 5 de 5 de par great buy! I purchased the ridgid 4210 miter saw about a month ago and i am very happy with it so far. I am replacing a dewalt dws780 12” miter saw which i had for a few years. This 10” saw is so much easier to use and the cuts have been extemely accurate! I have been cutting mostly hardwoods maple, walnut and sapele. The dust collection suprised me alot and is much superior on this saw then my previous one. The 4210 comes almost completely dialed in out of the box i have only had to do very minor adjusting to the setting to get this saw perfect. Overall i would give this Ridgid 4210 saw a 5/5!!!

It’s replacing an older non sliding mitre saw. I would definitely recommend this saw. I’m not a professional but a die hard diyer. I purchased this saw to cut wide moulding for an older house that I’m in process of remodeling. It’s working great. I purchased a high quality blade to use on saw. I tried blade that comes with saw and was impressed with how well it cut even though it appeared to be a blade that you would use on framing lumber. The trim I’m cutting is pine. I can’t say included blade would cut as nice with a hardwood trim.

Came out of the box almost perfect, with only a minor 90 degree adjustment to get it right on the money. Glides true, turntable spins clean and it cuts very effortlessly, and that "Shadow Line" so accurate, great idea to switch from the laser. I was also pleasantly surprised when I built the additional support table that the platform height was a even 2 - 3/4 inch high, unlike my previous saw that I needed a mic and a calculator to figure out how high to make the table. The only thing I found The engineers messed up was the fact that you need to remove the fence plates to get all 70 degrees out of this saw. Kind of a silly thing to worry about as I will most likely cut 2, 70 degree angles in the next 20 years, but the engineering group screwed that up big time. Give me a few months to really put this thing through it's paces and I'll add more.

I have had a 12" older model Ridgid miter that I still lobe, but Ridgid went above and beyond with this. There are so many upgrades that I see I this saw compared to the older models. The ease of use is absolutely outstanding. The bevel, and compound cuts are extremely easy to adjust and make on this saw. Even the dust collection system works perfectly on it. The positive stops on the bevel and miter are all set to the most popular positions. Simply press the release button and done. All movement on this saw is flawless and effortless. Honestly, I have never used a saw that adjusted so smoothly. As for power, this saw is hungry for wood. It cuts through treated 2x4s like it's made at them. The blade that comes with this saw is very sharp, and leaves amazingly smooth cuts every time. For how much I have put this through already, I have noticed no power loss or bogging down at all with even the hardest of lumber. Even though I am used to working with my 12" o was surprised with just how much reach this 10" has. I can cut everything on this saw as I can with my larger one, but with less handle as it's not a bulky. Even the smaller upgrades to this saw makes a world of difference. I love the easy lock lever, and the handle that they added that makes moving it very simple. The LED light is also easy to turn on, and illuminates the work area very well. The coolest part about this saw is the 70 degree cuts that can be made on it. I have never had a saw that could cut an angle like this, and do it as well as it dose. You won't find this on any other saw on the market, so this is a huge bonus! As for assembly, there is nothing you need to do other than take it out of the box and start building. Everything was square and on point. I'm telling you, this saw is a beast with tons of power. It's easy to use, and it takes a beating on the worksite. 100% recommend!

Is the cut width really only 3.5 inches? If so, it will be right on the limit for cutting a 2” x 4”. This seems surprising unless it’s a misprint?

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out to us regarding the 15-Amp 10-inch Dual Bevel Sliding Mitre Saw. With the Miter and Bevel at 0°, the cutting capacity is 4 in. x 6 in. or 2 in. x 12 in. if using the sliding function. For further information, please contact RIDGID Customer Support at 1-800-474-3443. Thanks, RIDGID Canada Team.

Posée par: Larry
You misunderstand my question. I'm referring to what material the frame of the saw is made of. Other saws say "alloy". This one says "ABS". Are parts of this saw really made out of plastic, which are made out of alloy on other saws? Look at the description of the saw, where it says "construction material".

The side profile is 25 1/2" X 20" then the box spans about 4 feet or so. As long as you have a big enough back seat, you should be fine. Just make sure you have at least 21" x 21" clearance with the seats pulled up.
