I purchased this knife with the knowing that I only needed it for removing carpet in one room. The carpet was a thick, older carpet and this knife worked well to cut through it. Having never cut carpet before, I did have to make two passes to cut through it. The knife is very sharp and easy to use. I did have to reverse the blade to get a sharp edge but disassembly and reassembly was easy. It comes with two blades which can be reversed essentially giving the user four sharp edges out of each blade. The blade is always exposed and very sharp, so I had to be careful when reaching for it. I am happy with this product and will keep it for the next time.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Perfect for Small job Needed for a small project and felt a utility knife was to short to cut carpet and backing, so this was a good value but not built for a big job. cut clean and easy to control.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Only for lightweight carpet Purchased this for a small bathroom carpet installation. Didn't do the job. Too lightweight. Invest a few dollars more, which I ended up doing, to get a sturdier knife. This wouldn't cut through FLOR carpet tiles, and they're not that thick.

I had a single room with carpet that had to be pulled so I could install laminate. I purchased this knife with the understanding that I only needed it for the one room. The carpet was a fairly thick older carpet and this knife worked well to cut through it. I did have to reverse the blade to get a sharp edge but disassembly and reassembly were easy. I am happy with this product and will keep it for the next time. The only drawback is a minor safety issue where the blade is always exposed (as long as its on the knife).

Rated 5 de 5 de par Cheap but effective. This was the cheapest carpet knife in the store. However, it works just fine. Comes with 2 blades. Plenty of cutting surfaces for one large carpeted room. A simple and easy carpet knife.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Too cheap, flimsy and waste of money. Don't waste your money. This thing is worthless. Way too flimsy, super cheap and the fact there's not any way to have a guard for the blade is hazardous. What was I thinking?

Bought this knife and took it apart. Now can't remember how does it go back together. Can you tell me how? Pictures would be helpful.

I have included a picture of the disassembled knife. The screw on the side comes off, then the smaller curved shaped plastic which reveals the the blade. The larger curved plastic piece with the two tabs goes on the handle of the knife and holds the spare blades. I hope this helps!
