Rated 1 de 5 de par Waste of money Do not recommend at all. In order to work (sort of) you would need at least 10 layers of ‘paint’. Pain is not self leveling so finished project will look awful no matter how you apply it or how fine brush/roller you use. It glows maybe, just maybe 20-30 minutes after exposing to bright light. Fortunately HD folks were understanding and refunded as I used very little of this paint after I showed them screwed up project.

Rated 3 de 5 de par It might help avoid confusion if...... The info. provided on this product on this page is not consistent. The product description given by the picture says that: - Paint glows for 4-8 hours once charged on indoor/outdoor surfaces - Paint covers up to 10 sq. ft. per can The info. lower on the page under Product Overview says that: - Provides coverage up to 14 sq. ft. per container - For indoor use only, creates a glow effect for up to two hours Consistency would probably help avoid customer confusion and complaints about this product. Just a thought.

Rated 5 de 5 de par This paint is AWESOME!!! I love this paint! Not sure why all the negative reviews, it glows really well ! I like that it doesn't have any color till you turn the lights off. I am impressed by how much it actually DOES glow. I hadn't even "charged" it with bright light, just turned off my normal indoor lights and it glows plenty. I LOVE it!!! Thank you Rust-oleum for another GREAT product, I'll be back for more, and will be recommending this paint!! Perfect!!

Rated 3 de 5 de par Watery, can't see or tell where paint is applied. Put... Watery, can't see or tell where paint is applied. Put on 8 thin layers over house numbers on mail post and each layer did not add anything that could be seen differently in light or darkness. I bought several day glo type paints over the decades in the past and they were nothing like this. Maybe like many other products that worked, it irked some government and the old paints that worked were banned.

How many coats should I use for the full effect.

Posée par: Anonymous
For best results, Rust-Oleum Specialty Glow in the Dark Spray Paint is recommended to be applied over a white or light colored surface. The product needs to dry completely and charge under direct light for 2-3 hours for maximum glow. Keep in mind, leaving an object outside will not provide consistent direct light for charging. You may want to apply at least 2 coats to ensure that it's properly coated. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 1

Did I buy a bad Batch? I bought your product to put on a wagon I am refinishing. The base is red, so I put 4 coats of white on top, so that the base is white. (I layered the white on thick). When I opened the can, it was filled to the top, and I realized that the paint was thick like sticky bun glaze or thick maple syrup. This was odd but I gave it a chance. The first coat gave little glow effect. No problem, normal. The second coat gave a little more glow effect, but the effect is not even it is streaky/blotchy. (Glows in some spots but not in others). After 4-5 coats total the effect regained the same...blotchy. I thought maybe the white base was not thick enough, or I did something wrong, so I place enough layers of white (4-5 coats), so that the blotchy glow effect was totally covered and had no glow effect. I tried again and after 10+ more coats of glow, The effect remains the same...blotchy. I had a scrap piece of door trim, flat white, and tested the glow on that and after 3 coats it also has a blotchy glow. I have tried shaking the can vigorously for minutes. Stirring the can for minutes. Thinning the pain with water, painting in low light, dabbing the paint on without spreading it, and nothing is working. It still has a blotchy finish. So here is my question: Did I buy a bad batch (thick like sticky bun glaze/blotchy finish), or what possibly have I been doing wrong? I've tried everything and have followed the instructions to the T.
Posée par: ThickAndBlotchy
You didn't get a bad batch, you got an old batch. We bought severaal cans, and, had some that did exactly that.. All of the glow pigment had settled and hardened at the bottom of the can. Stir It Up a little and it will still be clumpy... VERY difficult to get 100% smooth after it sets up.. We ended up putting ours on a rock tumbler and let it roll for a long while. While the glow was much more even, the finish was still a little blotchy. The other cans did not have this issue. We used at least 5 coats on light brown fiberglass. Some of the numbers took a little more.
