Rated 1 de 5 de par DOES NOT WORK Bought with the intentions of some black poles to flow in the dark so nobody runs into them. I was very generous with the coverage and had plenty of light. Not even close to glow in the dark! Waste of $9. I had to go buy reflective tape instead. Terrible.

Rated 3 de 5 de par It works...kinda...but not worth the time. I bought this paint to try the glow in the dark flower pots that have been a trend on the internet. I painted my flower pots white first, and I used a nice paint brush as recommended. My first attempt, I applied a thin layer, waited 45 minutes and applied another - per instructions. Even with a nice paint brush, it was SUPER streaky and not enough to really glow. 4 more layers later, and I had a streaky, messy, kinda glows pot. For my second attempt, I decided to go with THICK layers to try and avoid the streaks. This required 2 hours of drying between layers, and it still looks awful. After sitting out in the sun all day, in order to see the glow, you have to take it inside into a dark room, and the glow lasts MAYBE 6 or 7 minutes. Not the 2 hours that it says on the can. This paint might be worth it if you're doing light switch covers in a child's room, but even then, it won't look amazing, and the glow lasts only a short amount of time. I recommend just buying a glow in the dark version of whatever it is you're trying to DIY. That's what I ended up doing in the end.

Rated 5 de 5 de par This paint is AWESOME!!! I love this paint! Not sure why all the negative reviews, it glows really well ! I like that it doesn't have any color till you turn the lights off. I am impressed by how much it actually DOES glow. I hadn't even "charged" it with bright light, just turned off my normal indoor lights and it glows plenty. I LOVE it!!! Thank you Rust-oleum for another GREAT product, I'll be back for more, and will be recommending this paint!! Perfect!!

Can i use it to paint plastic cups?

I am throwning a party and would like to paint the outside of my party cups so that they will glow, I am also going to be painting and old table so id like to know know what color it glows?
Posée par: Anonyme
Our Glow in the Dark paint may not adhere well to plastic. If the surface is flexible, the paint may chip. You can, however, apply the Glow in the Dark paint to wood, metal, drywall, unglazed ceramic, and unsealed masonry. The paint glows a phosphorescent green/yellow.

Hi. How long will the glow in the dark paint last?

I painted 4-5 layers of the paint on 7-8 March. It worked ok but on 15 March (about one week later) it no longer glows, even after charging for many hours. I am not done with my project and I desperately need it to glow. I've ran out of paint. Shouldn't the paint last long as it can be recharged over and over again? Thanks.
Posée par: Anonyme
Yes, the paint should work over and over. A charge period is required before the paint can glow again. After each charge, the paint will glow for 15-20 minutes.

Hi, I bought the paint. It looks milky white and there is no immediate luminous green effect. Is it spoiled?

If it is not spoiled how long does it take to glow after I paint it? And is there an expiry date on the product? I am worried because this is for my school project and I am out of budget if it does not work. Regards, Joy
Posée par: Anonyme
The paint is milky white, and requires a "charge" to glow. To charge the paint, apply it to your intended surface, allow it to dry, then expose it to light (natural, or artificial for a few minutes). After the paint has been charged with light, it will glow for 15-20 mins in the dark.

Can the paint be applied on aluminium foil, cardboard boxes or masking tape?

I am working on a school project and I need to know if the effect will be as good if applied on these surfaces.
Posée par: Anonyme
On porous surfaces like cardboard, the paint may be absorbed, and produce less of a phosphorescent effect. The product should be okay on masking tape, or aluminum for a temporary effect, but the flexibility of both these surfaces may cause the paint to crack and flake off over time. For best results, use the product on wood, metal, plaster, masonry, and unglazed ceramic. Best of luck with your project!

Can i use it on clothing for a project

Posée par: Anonyme
Because fabric is flexible, any paint applied to it will likely flake off, so the paint couldn't be counted on for long term sustainability. The Glow in the Dark paint is recommended for wood, metal, plaster, masonry, and unglazed ceramic.
