Rated 4 de 5 de par lightweight easy to use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first bought a more expensive blower/vacuum, but it was not very powerful at all. Made me work harder not smarter. So back that went and I got this. This lesser priced item blew that one away. It actually moves the leaves and gets the job done. Now it doesn't have the vacuum component, but that's ok. It was decently priced. I forgot to mention I have turf and many fine dried up leaves that end up on my patio. these little leaves get caught up in between the turf blades but this little device gets them out of there, whereas the first unit I mentioned did not do so adequately (not without a lot of effort).

Rated 5 de 5 de par POWER!!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As simple and as powerful i have ever seen. From opening the box to using this blower - it took me less then 30 seconds. This blower has no fancy features. Just on and level 2. Is not the biggest blower (see picture for size) but it is the most powerful one i have used. I have had 2 gas blower and they dont come close. I am starting to like electric yard tools more and more. No need for maintenance. I set this on my garage floor and turned it on. It is so powerful it started spinning in circles.

Rated 3 de 5 de par three stars I'm happy I chose this cheap $40 ryobi blower. I would rather have a more expensive Dewalt or something, but this blower works just fine. the balance in it is acceptable, with some fatigue after a little use. It moves the leaves, pinecones and other debris fairly well across the lawn. clears off the driveway and concrete with ease. My shirt and light nylon shorts get sucked against the rear facing intake of the blower. having to compensate with the chance my clothes might get sucked off, I've had to readjust my technique and hold the blower away from myself, adding to the fatigue and arm strain. I am pleased with this blower. it meets expectations and the price is well worth not looking further

Rated 5 de 5 de par The Green Tornado [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using corded blowers since the seventies. This is the best unit I've ever owned. Thank goodness it has two speeds. I can't use the high speed setting in some situations due to the air movement at that setting. I have a tropical environment in my back yard. I have sand and small smooth rocks in various beds around the yard. On high speed this thing will blow the rocks right out of the bed. But on low speed it works just fine to remove leaves and other debris from the rocks. Pollen doesn't stand a chance against this machine. Pool deck cleanup is a cinch. It simply takes care of all my needs.

Rated 5 de 5 de par reliable and easy to handle [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love blowing the leaves instead of raking them, easier on the back for me considering I am an older woman who does her own yard work. Also I want to thank you for making the battery on the grass trimmers smaller this year..My older trimmer was powerful but the battery was so large that I had trouble releasing it, so I decided to look at new Black & Decker trimmers..then I saw your new trimmers with a more compact battery on it. Now I will stick with Ryobi. Just keep in mind that all tools are not used by big men...we smaller women do our share of yard work too.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Raw power at your disposal [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fan blower is made up of quality plastic. It is light weight and easy to maneuver. The plastic tube seems detachable from the motor, however its not an easy job once you lock it on the body. You need a regular garden extension cord to operate the blower. It has two speed levels depending on your need. I did not have high expectations, since this was not gas powered, but I was "blown away" by the performance of this product. I had a snowstorm in my town a few weeks ago. Since there were no leaves at this point of year I decided to give this a try on snow. The product did an awesome job at clearing away all the snow from my SUV. Super easy, fast and way better than using the snow brush. Overall, very happy with the product and would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a powerful electric fan blower.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Leaf Blower for my Car I purchased this leaf blower for the sole purpose of using it on my car to blow off the water after I wash it. If you can eliminate the number of times you touch your car during the wash process the better. Drying your car with micro fiber towels or other drying instrument can put micro scratches in the clear coat and after a period of time you will have to have the car polished to remove these scratches. So I use a leaf blower or compressed air to eliminate the need to touch the paint. This unit works perfectly in eliminating the excess water. It is light weight and the two speed switch is great when you don't need a massive amount of air. Also you do not need a $200.00 leaf blower for this process...cheap and reliable is the key.

I have used this blower and it is VERY impressive with very STRONG smooth blowing power. The craftsmanship also seems to be very good quality. In my opinion, this blower is top notch. I highly recommend this if you are in the market for one. The price is such a great bargain for how great this blower is. Really nothing bad to say about this item.

How heavy duty of an extension cord does this require - the soecs say 12 guage, but is 16 guage sufficient?

Posée par: CCK
Hi CCK! Thanks for the question! We recommend utilizing a 12 gauge - 20 amp circuit. Please reference page 7 of the manual: https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/b0/b0e12e89-6763-4b59-b063-9d6656008a08.pdf

This leaf blower uses a typical arrangement where you push a loop of your electrical cord through an opening and pass if over a hook to prevent damage to the electrical cord plug. It is impossible to push my 12 gauge cord through the opening, and nearly impossible to push my 14 gauge cord through the opening. What can I do to protect the electrical cord plug when I am using these two recommended outdoor electrical cords?
Posée par: Foster
The cord retainer is semi functional - the gauge of your extension cord is crucial. In the even that you cannot engage the retainer - I have successfully secured the ends of the power cords with a Velcro cord wrap designed to maintain the extension cord while not in use. Commonly available and "multi-use" addition to your toolkit the cord wrap will keep your extension cord coiled neatly when in storage and securely fashioned when attached to this Ryobi tool.

Will this product's dimensions make it hard to use for a short person? I'm 5'3" and it seems that most equipment is designed for people who are a bit higher off the ground. Holding this up above my hip so it doesn't drag on the ground would be a problem for my shoulder (and exhausting). Is it too long for petite people to maneuver properly with healthy ergonomics for backs and shoulders?
Posée par: pdf
Hello PDF, The question is not how tall you are, but more importantly, how far are your hands over the ground? People's height is based on leg, arm, torso, neck and head heights which these proportions can vary person to person. I am 5'10" with very long legs but a short torso. So, to answer your question, specifically, standing upright with your hands down to your side, curve the fingers inward of the hand that will hold the blower like you are holding a pale or bucket handle. Take a yardstick and let place one end of the floor and the other through your fingers. What does it read where the yardstick comes through between your fingers (where the handle will rest)? For me it measured ~27-28". This measurement is very important as the blower is balanced on the handle as a pivot point. Holding the blower at rest in a neutral position, I measured that the blower hangs at approximately 30 degrees. This leaves the bottom end of the blower hanging 3" to 6" above the ground (for me). There is a range because the slightest pressure of your hand in either direction of the pivot point raises or lowers the blower end up or down 2" with almost no effort. You can easily move it lower or higher. Keep in mind that when you turn on the blower, an air cushion pushes the head away from the ground as you near 0" (touching). For your benefit, I stood on a lower step with varying pieces of 1" wood. I found that at about 21-22" floor to finger height, the blower was just about 1" above the ground. If you are shorter than that, there is one other option. The black cone that snaps on to the main blower is a hard plastic. You could trim it shorter with a hacksaw if you find the the blower is to low or touching the ground as you use it. Just ensure to cut it at the same angle as the original end so that the optimum cone of air is maintained. Cut off only 1" at a time and try it out again. Rinse, repeat until you are satisfied. I hope that helps, Jeff
