Rated 2 de 5 de par Lemon-ish My Ryobi ran sufficiently for 5 uses, and by this point it had been roughly 90 days. It began having engine problems, the engine slowly losing strength, over the next year. I've used fresh gasoline with the appropriate oil mixture; this isn't my first rodeo. Ultimately last week, almost a year to the day after I'd purchased it, it couldn't even maintain its own idle (much less spin the head), and every pull brings roughly a second or two of sputtering. There appears to be oil coming out of the air intake, which can't help things. This trimmer gave maybe 25 uses, and many of them were slower and more painful than necessary. I cannot recommend.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Starting I've read that a lot of people have had a hard time starting this trimmer. The starting instructions are very clear on the side of the casing and must be followed to a T. If you do that the trimmer is very easy to start. Pump the prime 10 times and make sure you see some gas in the ball. Turn the choke to full and, hold the throttle down and pull 4-6 times, the trimmer will almost start. Turn the choke to the middle, hold the throttle and pull until the trimmer starts, it should only take a few pulls. Let it run for 10 seconds then switch to the run position and away you go. Make sure yo mix the gas properly as well.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Very nice trimmer I've had this trimmer for 2 summers, and I am very happy with it. It is lightweight and with the other available attachments (which I have picked up several of over the past 2 years) it is very versatile. I use this tool to maintain over an acre of lawn and garden and it easily meets my needs. The starting instructions on the side of the engine must be followed exactly, but they are very similar to the starting instructions for my previous 2-stroke trimmer. The 50:1 fuel:oil mixture is different from many other 2-stroke engines for home use (my old trimmer and my chainsaw use 40:1) so be sure you use the correct mixture.

Rated 1 de 5 de par worst trimmer ever Bought this trimmer last summer, and at first thought it was great, loads of power and great on gas. but about half way through the summer started having problems starting. needless to say, at the beginning of his past summer put in a new spark plug to try to remedy the problem. Did not make a difference. Needless to say by the end of the summer it would not start at all. That was me, the neighbor out in his laneway, pulling and pulling (and swearing) to no avail. Will not start. Was so discusted I gave up on trimming the lawn at the end of the season ( and trust me , I have the best lawn in the neighborhood partly in thanks to my new toro personal pace mower..ll LOve it!!)

Rated 1 de 5 de par Faulty Trimmer Based on my experience I would not recommend this trimmer. It started fine right out of the box and had plenty of power. The problem started with the line not feeding properly. On further examination the lower, curved portion of the shaft became extremely hot. This carried down into the spool assembly, that caused the feeding problem. Not sure why this happened unless there is a restriction in the shaft housing. My son has this same trimmer and it works fine doing the same work. On a side note his is and older trimmer. Seems like Ryobi may have made some changes that have cheapened the quality of the product.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Made in China POJ Bump head is a pain - poor design, line does not feed out properly, continuously wrapping weeds around shaft to the point it melts line off at exit holes( in an instant) and it retracts back inside head only to unwind inside. No power. Momentary contact off switch failed after second use. My last Ryobi was purchased 18 yrs ago and was used continuously for hours at a time all summer long every year. These are not worth your effort to buy and return. I returned mine within 30 days for a full refund, after only using twice. I repeat, Made in China Piece Of Junk. These are not the trimmers Ryobi used to make.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Ryobi CS 26 Trimmer The 2 previous reviewers stated that they had/have difficulty starting their machines. I have had my machine for a few days now and have used it 4 or 5 times as I worked my way around the yard. I found this machine very easy to start, even the first time. Never more than 5 pulls and if it is warm just 1 or 2. Perhaps they have too much oil in the fuel mix. The Ryobi is very quiet, light and well balanced. My previous machine was a Homelite and this machine is better overall. It was a more expensive machine than the Homelight (about $55.00) but I think well worth the extra dollars.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Good Trimmer I have the older model CS30 which is the same as the newer ones. I have had it for 3-4 years now and at $99 it is probably the best trimmer you can get. It has the power of a Stihl and performs the same as the day I bought it. I had my first issues (cracked/broken fuel line) and bump cap replacement and it cost me a $18 and a 30 minutes of my time to fix it.. Don't let the negative reviews deter you. I have never had and issue with starting mine. Prime the recommended number of times and it will start on the first 3 pulls. I also have always mixed my own fuel. After reading some recommendations I am going to start using pre-mixed fuel with no ethanol. Like I said, for the money I think the Ryobi trimmer and blower have been worth the money. The blower has more power than some of the high end models I have seen and is lighter. It is same age as the trimmer and never had a problem with it except for needing to replace leaking fuel cap.

will older attachments like the RLE1100,RGC100,RLS1100 work with a new Ryobi RY26500

Posée par: chip306
Any attachment that has the same pin assembly as the ones used currently will fit. Even going back 3 years to the attachments made by MTD, John Deere etc. As long as the shaft is square, and there is a spring pin assembly you will be fine.
