The problem I'm having is the same as other reviews.Mower Will Not re-charge to 100% stops at 55, 60 and 70. Do not know what the problem is but seems Ryobi contacted the other owners and resolved. Purchased at end of 2019 season last year, November I think, used once in December and then not again until around mid-February 2020 and have only used about 5 times total and problem started right away only charging past 70% to 100% one time. All other charges below 70% and usually at 55% to 60%.Maybe Ryobi will offer some suggestions or fixes. I do, however, really like this electric ZT mower; but not sure would buy again. Thank You.

Rated 3 de 5 de par More lift than standard blades, but only adequate for bagging. These bagging blades do an ok job of pushing leaves and grass up the tube and into the bag. OK... not great. However, I do think they help lift the grass a little when you are just side discharging or mulching, and more lift means you end up with a nicer cut.

Very disappointed that Ryobi’s Quality Control department didn’t catch this nor did Home Depot’s shipping person. I removed a bent blade off my mower anticipating the replacement… Sharp blades are necessary to cut grass people!

Since the bagging blades have more upswept fins ( for throwing out the grass more effectively, do you think they lower “run time”?
Posée par: Moe1
The blades move a lot more air which means more work is being performed which requires more energy so the batteries will not last as long - but probably not a lot less.

My Ryobi 48v 100 ah zero turn is much quieter with the mulching blades verses the bagging blades. In fact, even with the combo of earplug inserts, a headset, and a “hoody” sweatshirt over everything (it’s November now), these blades are very noisy! Noisier than my 60 inch gas zero turn! I haven’t recorded the difference with a meter yet (which I have), but I’m quite sure this is the case. The bagging blades also appears to have cut my run times down about 20%. All summer long, I’d get one hour of mowing on 50% of battery. I always stop after 50% (having read running SLA batteries lower than 50% lowers their life expectancy). I always recharge immediately and leave the mower on the charger till the next mowing which is about every 3 or 4 days. June + July + August = 24 to 30 mow/ recharge cycles. Since September, I’ve switch to the bagger for bagging grass and falling leaves and have mowed perhaps 8 to 10 times. My mowing time has been reduced to 45-50 minutes when the battery meter hits 50%. This is why (in a previous question), I had asked if the bagging blades drain the batteries quicker! In fact, when the bags fill, I shut the mower deck off (conserving energy) while I drive to my garden and dump out the leaves ( about two minutes each way and about 6 trips to the garden in total before hitting the 50% level, so about 12 minutes total time without even running the mowing deck during my 45 minute mow time!) It’s snowed 3 inches today so I’ll probably have to wait till next spring now before I can post my conclusions on a YouTube video so if anyone down South can verify my statements (longer mowing season), I’d appreciate it!

Anything which produces more work is going to consume more power; the normal blades are made flat for that reason. The curved tip blades act as a fan thereby moving more air and using more power. Installing the mulching attachment causes the clippings to be cut multi-pable times thereby using more energy. The tires are almost smooth and very hard. This reduces rolling resistance and uses less power but produces a very harsh ride on rough surfaces. Evey thing is about increasing battery life. Looking at the expected battery life chart on a manufacturers web site there is not too much difference in battery life depending on depth of discharge. If you need to mow for two hours and run the batteries all of the way down you can expect the batteries to last 300+ cycles. If you stop and recharge @ 50% after one hour you can expect them to last for about 700 cycles but since it would take two cycles to mow for two hours you get +/- 350 mowings - a little better but not as much as some would have you believe.
