Rated 1 de 5 de par A true $500 mistake on my part. I had purchased last year a Ryobi lawn mower which I was extremely happy with. I decided to add the pressure washer which was a mistake. after 45 days the switch has failed the only way to turn off the unit is to remove the battery. the light is out on the power switch. Ryobi directed me to a repair shop in my area which said it will be at least 4 weeks before they will even look at it. so by the time I get it back half the summer will be gone what a useless purchase this was as I don't need a pressure washer in the winter. contacting Ryobi customer care was a joke they basically said oh well that's how long it takes I guess. steer clear of this very expensive temperamental junk box and buy you a cheap one and throw it away when it breaks.

I was so surprised how long the batteries lasted! 3/4 of my house in 50 minutes! I won't buy gasoline any more. YAAAAA! YipEEE! No more extension cords to get tied in knots & plugging it back in when moving along the area being cleaned & tripping over the cord, moving it to a safer place to keep from getting the plug wet! Even my neighbor was surprised! There is one thing I didn't like. When you try to take the batteries out, it's hard to press the release button! The battery compartment needs to be one inch wider which would be easier to remove.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Ryobi 40v battery powered pressure washer. I bought this battery powered pressure washer to clean my brick, siding, gutters, and soffits. The brick had old vine roots embedded in them, so the pressure washer was going to be put to the test. I wire brushed all the brick prior to the wash. For the most part, the pressure washer removed majority of the residual vine root without using the full 1500 psi boost. If you decide to use that boost, the manual says you have approximately about 8 minutes run time. Personally I haven't used that feature yet. I love the convenience of being able to just click batteries in and your ready to go. Overall it's a great pressure washer and useful for many home applications. The 2 negatives are the high cost and that you can't use the 6ah battery from the Ryobi 40v brushless lawnmower, cause it's too big. I will continue to buy Ryobi products. The 6 tools I own, have worked well for me.

Rated 5 de 5 de par I already have a gasoline powered Ryobi pressure washer that I just love. The only issue with it ... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already have a gasoline powered Ryobi pressure washer that I just love. The only issue with it is that in freezing weather hooking it up to a hose bib with a garden hose and then draining the garden hose when I am finished takes a long time if you are just doing a small project. This battery operated washer is a lot quicker. The big advantage is that you can fill up the collapsible tank inside and when you are finished just put everything away. No hoses to drain or faucets to insulate. I live on a horse ranch and there is only water available at the house and barn. With this unit I can fill up the tank and move the washer to where ever I need to clean something. One of the additional reasons that I got this is that all of the Ryobi 40 volt batteries are interchangeable. Since I also have a Ryobi 40 volt lawn mower and chainsaw I now have a lot of batteries that can be used to extend the operating time of all my Ryobi stuff.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Added to family of Cordless! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just purchased the cordless pressure washer and went right to work on deck furniture! Liked what we saw so far and one great feature...pretty quite no more loud motor sound. Good pressure removing dirt with ease. In the last handful of years we have replaced our 2-speed gas tools with battery including the Ryobi Lawn Mower last spring! That too so quite I had a phone call while mowing and conversation easily heard.

Rated 3 de 5 de par The pressure washer itself is as good as can be... The pressure washer itself is as good as can be expected. The main reason I bought it was the bag that holds water for places where you can't run a hose. Unfortunately right out of the box the bag had a tear around the bottom corner seam. The water bag itself is a poor design and more attention should have been made to the strength of the bag.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Some figures they wont give you Down to the facts... 1. Run time on one battery at 1000 psi...12 minutes. 2. Run time on one battery at 1500 psi...8 minutes. 3. Run time on both batts simultaneously...NA...can only run on one batt at a time. 4. Thermal overload and battery shutoff...happened on an 85 degree day with PW on sidewalk in sun...batt shut off about halfway through already short run cycle, we're talking 4-5-6 minutes, then had to let batt cool down indoors for hour and then it discharged another 4-5-6 minutes. Fan of batt protection, but not a this short run time on already short run time. 5. Cleaned about 40 SF of concrete driveway on one batt, either 1000 psi or 1500 psi, doesnt matter. I know this is not meant to clean large driveways, just thought I would share some numbers. 6. Batt recharge time with included charger...3.5 hours! Yikes! Not cool. Respectable, but could be better. Quality, as with most Ryobi products decent when new, but below average with any amount of use or time.

Rated 5 de 5 de par I really like this pressure washer! I have an electric one that works and has more pressure but ... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this pressure washer! I have an electric one that works and has more pressure but the cord and the high pressure hose want to tangle with each other making it a hassle to use. The battery power eliminates the cord making this much easier to use. I cleaned the NASTY north side of some dormers and the side of a shed with it and it did a great job. I included a picture of the dormer showing an area cleaned and uncleaned. I also included a picture of the dormer and shed side. I did the dormer and two doors and most of the shed using 2 6 AH batteries. I had the 5 ah it came with on the charger at the time. I was at it about an hour and a half. My arm was tired by that time. I don't think battery life is a big issue. I also think that 1500 psi was enough to clean this siding. The dormers have fake cedar shakes so the wood grain is deep. It hadn't been cleaned for 6 years so it was bad. But I squirted on soapy water (just put in the nozzle) and then washed with the 15 degree head (not the turbo) and it was pretty clean. It did even better on the shed which is normal vinyl siding. The dormer side is about 6'x34'.

I want to buy this pressure washer, but I want to either buy it with two 7.5ah batteries, or bare so I can buy my own 7.5ah batteries to get the longest run time possible. Do you, or will you be offering either of these options anytime soon?

Posée par: JWilley
I own this ryoby battery pressure washer for almost 2 years and works great , has some flaws but noting major . The trick to save time and battery life its everytime is not bein used to turn it off completly i know it would be a process but its totrally worth it . Unfortunately the 7.5 battery doesnt fit on machine so biggest battery is the 6 amp one , so far i have 4 of the 6 amp battery and works great . I use this pressure washer for my auto detailing bussiness and just using 2 of the 6 amp battery i can easily do 3 and half cars . So hope this help you thanks.

Can you use a telescoping pole, to reach second story of house, with this model?

Posée par: Jason
Would have to find a tip extension. I didn't consider an extension worthwhile. Long enough to reach a 2nd story = heavy and difficult to control. Would also need an angle as pointing the stream up would push underneath the siding.

Attach to hose?

Can this be connected to a garden hose for continuous water supply or does the bladder have to be refilled?

It has to be attached to a garden hose? I see some of the Q&A say it does, but in the description it says: "Just connect the garden hose or external water tank". Which is correct?
Posée par: Mike
Hi Mike Thanks for your inquiry. This model comes with the option to use a main water supply (city or well water). Or you can use the 5 gal. water tank that's provided to allow the pressure washer to be used when no water faucet is nearby or whenever portability is desired. We hope this helps. Best Regards Thank you for contacting RYOBI

Will the new Ryobi 40v 12ah batteries work on this pressure washer?

Posée par: JWilley
Unfamiliar with a Ryobi 12 ahr battery but doubt such a large size one would fit. The 6 barely fits.

Does the engine/pump or any other moving parts need to be oiled? If so, how and what oil do you reccomend?
Posée par: Beowulf
All you need is power washer lubricant. It goes into the inlet side and comes out the outlet side. Just squeeze it in after each use. Doesn’t take much. That’s it. It helps keep the calcium deposits down, etc. Also good info in the manual. No other lube required.

Does anyone know how the external tank (bag) actually hooks into the power washer. The power washer looks to have a regular hose hookup while the bag has some sort of quick connecter. Am I missing a part?

Posée par: Gabe
Hello, Gabe - Thank you for your question. The extra tank is connected using the hose that is already attached to the tank. I hope this helps!
