Rated 5 de 5 de par Just purchased one. After reading the reviews I have a few tips. #1 fresh fuel every time. And put a fuel stabilizer in the can with the mix oil before filling gas can. #2 Cold start-pump bulb until you see the fuel and bulb gets firm. Full choke for two pulls and half choke and full throttle. Should start right up and run it at half choke for 30 seconds while revving up and down to get the motor warm.choke off and away you go. #3 I am going to drill some small holes in connections of blower tube and eliminate any problem with blower tube falling off. #4 get a piece of webbing like the bag has and put it around bottom handle and around neck and shoulder to get some weight off your arm's. Good Luck

Rated 4 de 5 de par Vacuum attachments make this awkward to hold during use. While no expert on blowers, this is a handy little device w/ a great price. It does the small jobs with the little effort. Pick it up and blow off the side walk, porch or blow out the garage. It takes more than one pull to start but 4 or 5 will do it. It's not as powerful as others but works well on hard surfaces as a blower. When using as a vacuum, it is awkward to hold making it tiring to use for longer periods of time. It works best on hard surfaces. It's not as loud as some but is noisey. Also, when holding in vacuum mode, it will blow the exhaust toward your body which I'm sure isn't healthy. As with most you need to buy the pre-formulated 50-1 ratio fuel. If I only used only as a blower, I would be completely satisfied.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great leaf blower for the money. C'mon. It is $99, what does everybody want? I have zero problems starting (for me always third or fourth pull) and it is effective, strong stream of air. Wish there was a tapered end as an accessory as the outlet being round does make it a bit more difficult to push leaves and grass in the desired direction. I pirated a tapered end from my Homelite (which lasted for many years until the engine finally gave out) which fit the Ryobi perfectly. Perhaps the tapered end fit because the same corporation owns Ryobi and Homelite as well as Milwaukee and several others. If I get three four years out of this tool then it has been worth the $99

Rated 1 de 5 de par Ryobi Failed With This One... Purchased this about a year ago and really gave it the "old college try" to make it work, but have had enough. It worked fine for about two months, but then would not stay running without having to continuously adjust it. It was a 15 minute ordeal every time I went to use it to get it running and keep it running. While the features were great with the vac (which was nice and strong), actually setting it up to use the vacuum was another 15 minute ordeal. I've traditionally been a Ryobi fan, but this unit is a complete loss. I recommend using a brand that has presence in the gas powered industry and leave Ryobi for electric driven units. I do NOT recommend this unit.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Very Good for Price With a Few Exceptions The Roybi blower vacuum is reasonably priced, easy to assemble, easy to start, light weight and simple to operate... There does seem to be a bit of a design flaw in the blower tube assembly in that the 'bayonet mount' connection often vibrates loose and the tube falls off. An inconvenience to be sure, but not a deal killer in my opinion. Good for light, portable, occasional use around the house and if you don't mind having to stop and reattach the blower tube or collection bag a few times over an hour or more use I would recommend it..

Rated 1 de 5 de par Combination vacuum & blower 4th vacuum in 7yrs. They changed bag attachment style, now very difficult to handle & real hard to empty the bag with that U shape design. Heat from motor is right up against your body & noisy. Use to be able to slide off bag & empty, while vacuum was over your shoulder & still running, with old style, but NO more now. Takes 2 people to fill-up with gas, with bag attachment on . Went from a quality product to the bottom of the barrel. All because they changed the bag attachment bracket. Takes longer to empty the bag each time, than to pick up the leaves? You'll be so frustrated with it, that it will be gone in next garage sale or you'll give it away !!! Rated 1 de 5 de par Used Once & Took It Back I only used the unit once & returned it. It works well as a blower but the problems began when I wanted to use it as a vacuum. The vacuum tube is difficult to attach & then the unit is difficult to use as there is no shoulder strap for the main unit, only for the vac bag. Then if you want to use it as a blower you either have to go thru the rigmarole of removing the vac tube or try to use it with it attached, which is a real pain. I returned the unit. After doing some online research I found that Poulan make a similar unit (Model # BVM200FE) for the same price and the vac tube simply snaps on and off making it a lot easier to change it back to a blower. I purchased one of these.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Engine Starting Instructions For users not mechanically inclined, you should follow the starting instructions listed on the blower and in the manual ONLY FOR THE VERY FIRST START UP OUT OF THE BOX. If you continue to follow those instructions for subsequent starts, i.e. pumping the primer bulb 10 times before every start, you will flood the engine and it will be difficult or impossible to start. It is beyond me why the manufacturer would instruct you to flood the engine for subsequent starts when all you need to do is pump the primer bulb once or twice to start the blower after the initial start up. If you really want this blower to start easily and quickly, replace the factory RCJ-6Y spark plug with an E.3-12 "super plug" ($6 bucks at Home Depot). Happy leaf blowing!

can the vaccum be used in the car or indoors?

can the vaccum be used in the car or indoors?
Posée par: Raj
I personally would not use an internal combustion engine indoors or in a confined space. Carbon monoxide poisoning and exhaust fumes are hazardous. I would strongly advise against using this for other than blowing or vacuuming leaves out doors.

How to start it?

Posée par: Bird
Thank you for asking, Bird. To start the engine, this blower should be placed on a flat, bare surface. *Slowly press the primer bulb 10 times. NOTE: After the 7th press, fuel should be visible in the primer bulb. If it is not, continue to press the primer until you see fuel in the bulb. *Set the choke lever to the FULL CHOKE position. *Squeeze the throttle trigger or set the cruise control lever to the full throttle position. Pull the starter grip and rope sharply until engine attempts to run (no more than 4 pulls). *Set the choke lever to the HALF CHOKE position. *Pull the starter grip and rope until the engine runs. Do not pull the starter grip and rope more than six (6) times. NOTE: If the engine does not start, return to the FULL CHOKE position and repeat the steps that follow. *Allow the engine to run for 15 seconds, then set the choke lever to the RUN position. I hope this helps and we appreciate your interest in Ryobi! -Keri
