Purchased this product 28 Dec 18 after I exhausted myself shoveling snow 3 days before and seeing it in Homedepo. I wondered if the blower would work. Everybody it seems buys the big expensive ones. I did not even know they sell blowers at this price point, $149. Let me say, “It works and well.” It is my very first so there is nothing to compare it to. I just removed about 7 inches in my drive/walkway with ease. Having to use a cord with this blower is a bit of a nuisance, but I did not want to have to deal with gas or battery. It cut my snow removal time in more than half of what it used to be. I def recommend! I gave it a 4.5 because it was my first use.

I used to pay a guy $500 a year to plow my driveway and he quit, so I purchased the Ryobi electric snow blower this year. I hate starting gas engines, they are difficult and unpredictable. This has been an absolute workhorse. We are in the midst of a big winter in Park City UT. Three big dumps in the last few weeks totaling 10 feet! The Ryobi has handled it, able to throw the snow 25 feet or more as advertised. Is able to elevate the throw above the berm on the driveway's edge. Can clear entire driveway of smaller snowfalls of 6-8 inches in 2 minutes! WOW!!! See photo

Rated 5 de 5 de par Love this snow blower! Light and easy to use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly best money I've spent in a long time. It has paid for itself time and time again. I have the plug in version. I would not recommend the battery. I have a 24 ft wide driveway and the blower shoots at least 15ft away. I have gone through 7-8 inches of heavy wet snow without a problem. I do think Ryobi needs to rethink their deign on battery connections. Women are a growing percentage of buyers in the small tool selection. Their bulky design and difficulty in removing the batteries makes me always suggest other brands like DEWALT. The plug in snow blower is worth it's weight in Copper :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very familiar whit Ryobi equipment, and as always, I am impressed with their products. This 20" electric corded snow blower is no exception. It was packaged very securely, assembly was very easy, simply used all the hardware packaged with it, followed the picture diagram. Couldn't have been easier. The discharge chute is adjustable, has 4-5 up down positions, and can be directed in increments, left to right 180 degrees, by means of the direction handle right below the grip bar.. The handle can be folded down for storage saving space in the off season.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great Electric Blower I’ve been worried for some time about getting an electric snowblower. I’ve watched neighbors struggle with under powered units and wondered if they were even worth the trouble. After doing research and finding this one recommended on the WireCutter, I reserved one for pick up at Home Depot. I just finished picking it up, assembling it and scraping about 3-4 inches of wet snow off of the driveway - It worked like a charm. Sure, there were a few times I had to be patient with it when it didnt plow through the wet snow like butter like a gas one would, but i can honestly say that it completed the job with satsfaction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I acquired this to replace an old gas powered 22" Craftsman, and this Ryobi is better. It's lightweight and easy to maneuver. I used it to clean about 2" of slushy snow out of the driveway today, and it did a fine job. With the discharge chute at a 90º to either side, the Ryobi barely throws the snow out of its own way. With the chute straight to the front or slightly to either side, it threw snow 15 - 20' even against a light wind. There is a minor error in the intermediate handle installation instructions - the threaded end goes in the bottom hole, but you couldn't tighten it if you put it in the top. Assembly was easy and took about 15 minutes. I kept bumping the chute deflector handle with my knee, but otherwise, the Ryobi works great, and I'm happy to have it.

Rated 3 de 5 de par The chute will not stay where I point it. I am a long time Ryobi user. I own a drill, weed wacker, lawn mower and flash light made by them. I would give em all five stars except for this item. I only used it once so far. It only threw the snow about six feet at best and I had to hold onto the handle that directs the angle of the snow because it would not stay pointing in the direction I set it for. It caught me off guard at first by shifting and throwing a bunch of snow into my garage and under my car. I bought this in the summer and stored it until needed. If I hadn't waited so long to use it, I would have returned it. I do not want to discourage people from purchasing Ryobi products, just watch out on this one item.

I have shoveled, bladed, & blown lots of snow in last 25 yrs when i am not in Florida, Last snowblower was a gas blower that recently stopped working. I am not strong enough to shovel & needed something lightweight & powerful that I can pick up & move as I need to! Very easy for one person to assemble. The push button start is hassle free. I just came in from blowing one foot of snow on long driveway & sidewalk at local library in town. One pass all the way to the concrete every time. It took me one hour start to finish. No clogs & the snow slid off the surfaces of the blower & no snow to clean out of the chute when done. I especially like the 180 degree directional chute. It allows a good dispersion of snow at a low angle so one is not hitting the neighbor's windows. The throw distance of the snow is ample. The fold down handle makes storing this snowblower a breeze. This certainly makes living in cold regions much less work.

Posée par: Nan
Hello, Nan! Thanks for the questions! We have not had any issues with screws coming loose. The electric cord is safe in the snow and there are safety measures built in to trip the unit if water is present on the adapter when you plug it in. We hope this helps!
