Can this be used to replace damaged mortar in a basement cinderblock wall?

Old mortar has cracked in several spots causing seepage below grade. Can the old mortar be knocked out and replaced with this where repairs are needed or should new type N mortar be used? Is there any shrinkage when this product cures?
    Posée par: Anonyme
Yes, using SAKRETE plug-tite as you mention in your statement will work perfectly. Only remove the loose cracked mortar and fill the joint flush with the surface.

    King Plug-Tite compound

can I spray that compound on the whole wall surface or just on the cracks? Robert
    Posée par: Anonyme
Hi Robert, Unfortunately, you cannot spray this product on the whole wall surface. The reason for this is that it needs to be thick and placed right in the crack. I hope this helps.

What is the best type of applicator.

When applying product the best applicator would be what. Will this product work when the crack or leak is where the wall meets the floor. We are getting water on the 90 degree angle floor and wall.
    Posée par: BobT
Hi BobT, The best type of applicator depends on if you have an active leak or not. For an active leak it is recommended to use your hand with glove on and then a trowel, and for an inactive leak a trowel and maybe a knife for the smaller cracked area. I hope this helps.
