I bought this dummy door handle to match the working side of our front door, which is a double door. This handle was a single dummy, so I ended up having to buy a second one for the inside. The previous dummy handle for the front door (in a style I had disliked since we moved into this house six years ago) was complete, by which I mean it included the inside and outside handles as a complete set. This also meant the, like the working handle on the other door, only the inside part of the dummy had screws showing and so the outside appearances matched. Maybe I’m being too perfectionist about it, but I wish this had no screws showing on the outside.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Functional Dummy Door Lever [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Schlage Latitude Satin Nickel Dummy Lever is an attractive lever which would work in most situations since it is reversible. All of the door hardware in our house is Schlage in a satin nickel finish. It has held up very well so I would assume the finish on this lever would also. Some of our doors do have levers rather than knobs. We prefer levers on doors because we can open them when we have our hands full or covered with something on them that we do not want to get on the door lever. This lever has two drawbacks for us. First our existing Schlage dummy door knobs have three screw holes so the two holes do not line up for this lever replacement. Secondly, all of our existing door hardware has a cover which hides the screws. This lever does not.

Rated 4 de 5 de par With this being a "dummy", it would be nice not... With this being a "dummy", it would be nice not to see the screwheads; perhaps a "cover" could be included to cover the screwhead. Would also like to suggest to the door handle companies to think about perhaps a hex head as I don't know of too many people who have bendable screwdrivers to screw in the screws. While Schlage's Latitude has been one of the easier ones to screw on regular door handles, it has never been ideal. Most DIYers do have right-angled hexes.
