Rated 5 de 5 de par 1/2" Full Bore Fitting [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This SharkBite brass fitting is solely manufactured for use with the Pex-A style pipe and Expansion ring system, and designed for use in potable water distribution systems. The fitting is constructed of lead-free dezincification resistant brass, meeting the ASTM F-1960 and ASTM F-877 standards, and approved for water service lines and burial applications including concrete, and approved with the Universal Plumbing Code, International Plumbing Code and cUPC "Canadian Universal Plumbing Code" requirements. Pex-A and the Expansion Ring system remains the most superior pex style pipe due to its ID "Inside Diameter" almost identical to the Type L Ridgid Copper "Hard Pipe", maintaining the proper flow velocity and water

Rated 5 de 5 de par Nice quality part [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fitting does exactly what it's designed to do - keep water in the pipe. It is very well packaged with a plastic sleeve to ensure that the barb on the PEX end doesn't get damaged by rough handling getting to the job site. This style of fitting is a coupling for 1/2 inch expansion type PEX (Type A) to join with 1/2 inch copper with a sweat (solder) connection on the copper pipe.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Well made adapter with protective sleeve [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This brass adapter between 1/2" copper and 1/2" PEX water lines is designed to work with the 'expansion PEX' system. Which means the appropriate expansion tool for PEX is required as well as the expansion ring. I will not discuss the difference in the methods between expansion and crimping, but want to point out, that it is important to only use PEX-A for expansion connections because it relies on the PEX material properties (softness) for a watertight seal. This specific adapter is designed with a female end for the copper line. We like this model because it's PEX barb is protected by a plastic sleeve, so the detailed features can not get damaged/scratched when the adapters are kept in an assortment box. They appear precision machined without burs or tooling marks. We can not speak to long-term reliability
