Model # UP016A5 Internet #206133132 Store SO SKU #1001395196 SharkBite 3/4 in. Plastic PEX Barb Coupling (5-Pack) The least expensive way to repair broken 3/4” PEX lines. I have used most of the different types of PEX fittings (PVC, brass and Compression fittings). PVC PEX fittings is the least expensive way to go for any of your needs. Brass PEX fittings and Compression fittings will corrode and deteriorate in the ground. PVC fittings will last as long as the PEX pipe does. Takes less a minute to repair or connect 3/4” PEX line. See photos. Make sure you turn off the water before you cut the supply line. They are rated for 200°F at 200 psi so they will work with hydronic heating and water heaters. Manufacturer's Comments: Plastic polysulfone construction Lead free compliant and corrosion proof Low-cost plumbing connection system Compatible with PEX pipe Meets NSF 61, ASTM F 877 and CSA 137.5 Meets UPC, IPC and cUPC requirements Fittings work with copper crimp ring or stainless steel clamp connection methods Rated to 200°F and 200 psi [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

One of the first things involves upgrading the sprinkler system. Using the SharkBite 3/4 IN. PLASTIC PEX BARB COUPLING (5-PACK) I was able to also tie in a 3/4 inch alternate water source. I added a rubber hose that held tightly. However, I did add crimp rings to ensure there weren't future issues. I feel confident the SharkBite 3/4 IN. PLASTIC PEX BARB COUPLING will last a very long time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 de 5 de par I have lots of good things to say about the SharkBite product line in general. But the SharkBite plastic pex fittings are my go to if I am doing pex with crimps. I have used the brass in the past but now try to stick to the plastic. Both are great - don't get me wrong. The brass is more expensive, and I would gladly pay more if I thought I was getting more value out of the brass. The issue I am faced with is that I see more homes where acidity has caused pin-holes in copper pipes. I know we are speaking about pex here, but I worry about brass failing over time when exposed to acidic water conditions. Plastic on the other hand is inert and I need not worry. These plastic pex fittings work every bit as good as the brass fittings and I have never had one fail. Cheap, simple easy to use - can't ask for much more. I will be using these to connect hoses for our window boxes as they do not hold any water pressure. I run hoses from our rain barrels to water garden boxes and sometimes I need to cut hoses to fit need. Right now I have been using copper tubing for this job and I think these will suit the bill for the job in mind. These are UV protected and should give me many years of outside work. I drill small holes on the topside of the hoses and this waters the areas I drill only and no settlement gets into holes to plug them. I know these are used for different work than I am doing but if it works use it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I am gradually replacing my copper supply lines with pex. Since the copper lines were compromised by my acidic water I am using pex. These couplings lets me make my supply lines all acid resistant. The couplings are well made and inexpensive when compared with copper fittings. Pex fittings are much easier to connect, foolproof connections without having to use torch in the house- and easier to work with [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Lightweight and easy to use, These pieces are thick and appear to be extremely durable and I cannot imagine them failing in any way whatsoever. The 5 pack is good and would seem to be an overall average amount that anyone might need . I am converting existing copper in a rental property and choose PEX as the best long term choice.I recommend them, [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Anything PEX is some kinda good thing, especially for those of use that are NOT very proficient in plumbing matters. When we had to redo one of our bathroom plumbing water supply that was ancient and leaking, thats when the greatness of PEX was introduced to me. Easy peasy install is one thing. These, as I have learned should be used with a special tool. I don't have one...YET! So if another leak comes up, I'll head to the store. But, if I MOW over my water hose...AGAIN!! I can always fix it with these couplings. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The Shark Bite PEX plastic coupling is probably the best plastic coupling you can get. Its quality appears to be excellent with no sharp edges or barbs left over from the molding process. They install just like brass couplings and I would use them as an alternate to the brass as desired. Theres just not a lot you can say about plastic plumbing fittings, but if you're going to use plastic, use the best, like Shark Bite. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
