Rated 5 de 5 de par I like shark bite products [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to assemble and good durable outcomes do not always go together. But in the case of Sharkbite valves and fittings they go together very well indeed. I have quit buying sweat on valve fittings altogether in favor of these little gems. Cut, clean, slide, turn on the water and you are in business. This particular one has a drain built in so if you need to drain back a line to prevent freezing ( I hear that in some parts of the country it does freeze and they have something called winter) You can easily accomplish that with No need to take anything apart. I recommend Sharkbite wholehartedly.

Rated 5 de 5 de par I like these fittings [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the SharkBite plumbing fittings because you don’t have to solder the pipes together. I have done soldering in the past but it is hard to keep your expertise up if you don’t do it that often. Especially in hard to access places where there is flammable wood or insulation close by it is easier to use these. I have used them before and they are still doing fine years later. Also they are easier to take off and reuse if you want to reconfigure your piping later. This fitting is nice because it has a drain valve if you need to drain the pipes. It also had a built in flange to screw the fitting to the joists or wall.

Rated 5 de 5 de par I needed this! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love PEX tubing, especially with easy SharkBite fittings. But when you screw/solder a valve into properly supported metal piping, you usually do not need added bracing. When you use slip-fit connections, especially on flexible PEX tubing, working the valve flexes the joints. SharkBite joints seem to stand up to this just fine, but it feels floppy. I end up with several more tube-clamps to hold it still. This nifty variant has screw-holes! Set on stud or joist, screw through, the valve feels solid. This variant also has the side drain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little ball valve was such a life saver. When my kitchen sink pipe burst over the winter and started leaking all over the kitchen, I used two of these to intercept the pipe down below in the basement, and shut the water off without having to cut off water to the entire house an inconvenience the whole family. It is definitely always worth having a few of these handy ready to go in an emergency!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple, easy and works great. I used this to install a valve in a pex line and it could not have been easier. It was almost too easy if you can believe that. I cut the line and simply pushed it in on both ends and that was that. Nothing more to it. It also comes with a drain should you need that feature. I also unhooked it using a special removal tool and reinstalled it and it was fine. No leaks and is wonderful. Love it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Even better than those w/o drop ear feature [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1/2 in. SharkBite Push-to-Connect Drop Ear Ball Valve with Drain is what I use now when replacing old shut off valves for my customers when they stop functioning properly & there's a way to secure it to either wood or masonry. These are also easiest way to install a new shut-off ball valve with drain when having shut off secured to something is preferred. Single lever control allows for easy operation and valve is perfect for drinking water where a shut-off is needed.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Very easy to use and install valves. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used these type connections and valves now quite often, and this particular valve is extraordinarily easy to use. So long as your pipes (copper, pex, or pvc) are clean and round you will have zero problems with this fitting. These fittings totally get rid of those days of sweat soldering copper, or using stinky pvc glues, or clamping pex fittings onto the pipe. They also have a quick release for removal which in essence is a push inward 1/2 round device to allow you to push the lock back thus releasing the pipe its on. As for longevity, I recently finished building a new house and use mostly these kind of fittings, and after 4 years in service, I have had 0 (zero) leaks or other problems with them. I highly recommend them to quicken the installation of any plumbing job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shark bite style connectors are the real deal. I needed this valve for a long run of pipe that goes over to an outside wall, up to the main floor, then around the outside of a closet to the laundry room. Obviously, running water through an outside wall behind an unheated space is asking for trouble. I need to be able to turn off the water and drain the line if the temperature outside drops below 10 degrees F. This fixture is super easy to install and doesn't leak at all. With the drain integral to the valve, you don't need to add a drain valve (just make sure you install it in the right direction!) and with the ears you can secure it to a joist to steady it for when you turn the valve. Sweet!

Yes, this valve can be installed in any direction or position. Just keep in mind the water flow direction otherwise you'll end up getting wet if you open the bleed cap on the pressurized side.
