Rated 5 de 5 de par Worked as described I had a city water pipe coming through my poured concreted basement. I was leaking at every rain fall. This product fixed it once and for all. I did not have to break my driveway to fix from the outside.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Got the job done My basement was leaking and I opened up the wall. Found a crack that ran the length of the foundation about 8ft. I needed to get the crack repaired ASAP and this was the only product that was carried on the shelves. So I bought the kit and a extra cartage incase i needed it. I used it, followed the instructions and I believe it did it's job, no more water leaking! The Polyurethane (PU) even came out of the crack at the top of the crack on the outside of the house. Pros: Seemed to work. Instructions were clear. Water stopped. Cons: PICK UP extra mortar. They only supply you with enough mortar to cover 5 applicator "T's" (there are 20 in the box) They don't disclose this on the box just inside with the instructions. Other things to know: The crack must must at least a 1/4" wide and 1/2" deep. So you may have to open up the crack more. (Have tools for this) I used a air pick and it worked well. Open the crack up even a bit more, it will allow the PU to flow better. Make sure your mortar is set before using the PU, they say it has as much as 420 PSI, some spots my mortar wasn't completely set and it busted through it. Not the end of the world but still.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Try to find another solution Mortar dries extremely quick. Make sure to use only small batches at a time. Plan to make at least 4-5 refills. Otherwise it hardens within 2 minutes. When I injected the liquid, it came out everywhere around the plastic T. So it never filled up to the T above the first one.

Rated 1 de 5 de par DOESN'T LIVE UPTO THE SIKA NAME I bought this to fix a crack in my basement while I was home for the weekend. I used this because Sika is a trusted name in construction, but this product doesn't live up to the expectation. First they DO NOT give you any adhesive to anchor the tees to the concrete. They show to use a hot glue gun which doesn't work on damp concrete. There is only enough product to fix a crack of about 5 ft. Put the money this costs toward having a professional company fix the crack.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Terrible product Terrible product look at the reviews before buying this product! Like all the others way short of product very hard to cover what a 7 foot wall much less am 8 foot one. then the tube runs out about 60 % of the way stops going what a major disappointment! unfortunately purchased 3 kits for three cracks used 3 ciment for 2 and almost 3 tubs for only one!!!

Waste of money. Not enough concrete mix to patch the whole crack and then not enough injection foam to fill all the ports as the video showed. Plus I waited 8 hours instead of the 120min they recommend and all the cement gave out at all the ports as well

My foundation wall is damp on the inside of my house. How can I waterproof it if there are no visible cracks?

When I removed the drywall, there was poly against the cement wall, followed by studs and insulation, then poly again, and then drywall. The previous owner used poly twice....which is incorrect. By putting poly against the cement wall, they were trying to stop the insulation from getting wet and moldy. Looks like I will have to dig down from the outside and seal the wall using the appropriate products. There is no room for weeping tile as there is no where to connect a 4" drain too because I am on the edge of the mountain with bedrock all around the house.

there is a system that installs on the interior of your basement much the same way as weepers oround your outside not sure of product name but should be easy to find on internet hope that helps

Should the mortar and injection ports be removed after using?

After i have sealed the crack with the PU and allowed to dry do I leave the injection port or cut it off? How about the mortar?
Posée par: pappaj
The ports can be cutted or left in place, it will not change the performance. If you want to cut them ( for esthetic reasons or other), the main thing to take into consideration is to make sure that the foam has completely cured, so allow 7 days to make sure. Again, same for the mortar, removing it should not make any difference once your crack is completely filled with the foam. This being said, removing the mortar could be a messy and dusty job and leaving the mortar in place will not prevent the foam from performing. It most cases, people are leaving the hydraulic mortar in place and the tubes when they are building a gypsum wall after their repair is done.

Basement wall crack

Hi, I have a crack in the basement wall, about 4 feet long. Have some water seeping through in late spring and when it rains quite heavily. So, my assumption is that the crack is through to the other side of the wall. The basement wall is about 10 feet underground. Now, if I start applying this product, how do I know that it not just coming out from the other side of the crack but is actually filling up the crack? Can you please explain the mechanism of this product? Hope I'm clear with the question :-). Thank you in advance.
Posée par: Anonyme
Good morning, compacted ground on the other side will act as a barrier and make sure the liquid Sikafix will stay into the crack. When you start injecting in a tube, liquid will come out from the tube up to the tube you are injecting. That means the liquid filled the crack completely between these 2 tubes. There is a DVD inside the kit that explain pretty well how it is working. If you need more informations feel free to contact me au carpentier.gabriel@ca.sika.com or 514-237-7037. Have a great day. Is it necessary to wet the inside of the crack and if so, how did you do this?

Posée par: Anonyme
according to the video it is important for the inside to be wet, otherwise the polyurethane won't work, we used a spray bottle. We ran out of the polyurethane after we'd put the plugs in, so the next day we used a turkey baster and squirted it in the plugs - hope it worked.
