Can I use a 100% solids epoxy floor product over top of this product? Will it adhere properly?

    Posée par: JMSD
Hello and thank you for your question. There has been success with bonding epoxy to Sikaflex Sealant's. It is recommended to do a light sanding followed by a solvent wipe (Xylene, MEK) to remove any contaminants. This all will have to be done after the sealant has fully cured.

Is there any special undercoat you need to use when painting sikaflex self leveling Sealant?

I painted straight over it with oil based concrete paint and it did not stick. Do I need to use a water based primer first to give it a key prior to painting???
    Posée par: Anonyme
Thank you for your inquiry. Typically, water-,oil-, and rubber-based paints are okay. Acrylics should be okay as well but we recommend staying away from high-solvent based paints since the solvent has no place to go and sits on the surface of the sealant. It is very important that the sealant be allowed to cure for a minimum of 7 days prior to overcoating. For further information, please read our current product data sheet available on our website at usa.sika.com/retail. Thank you. Sika Retail Team

Can this be used on the roof of an RV to seal cracks / seams around vent hoods etc?

    Posée par: Anonyme
The self leveling sealant is a polyurethane caulking that is liquid thus levels itself. Polyurethane works very well on RVs because of its flexibility and durability. In this particular application, I would recommend that you use the regular Sikaflex Construction sealant - you have a choice of colour and it is non sag thus reducing the risk of making a mess with a liquid polyurethane that will follow any slope it will encounter.

    Is this paintable?

    Posée par: Anonyme
Yes, it is paintable with all types of paint. We recommand that the Sikaflex is fully cured prior to applying the paint.
