Rated 2 de 5 de par Easy to install and very small and compact + But did not work on my model I Installed this , to upgrade my manual key openener old garage door opener "Touch NGo 2000" with remote key less entry. After installing this it did not work. As per the instruction it says "for soem old garagedoor 1 12 v dc adapter ( with 3.5mm) plug is required and to be connected to the smart switch . However the adapter was not available ( Radio shak has 3.4 mm plug and 3.7). I had to return it as it did not work for mine. Instaed I bought "Genie Universal Dual Frequency Remote Conversion/Upgrade Kit" from home depost store itself.That worked for me.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Product My old remote died and this was an economical way to replace it. Controller was easy to install- less than 5 minutes. Sync remote to controller and you are done. It works as advertised. What more can you ask?

Rated 3 de 5 de par Works but not reliable It connected easily and does work. But I think the signal along the wire isn't as strong and the door does not open all the way most of the time. It is rare that the door opens on the first try. Maybe my wiring is just really old. It's more affordable than replacing everything so I put up with it.

Do I have to replace the existing wall button?

You would have to connect the clip to the existing wall button wires, or cut off the clip, then connect the wires to the existing wall button wires. You should be able to connect this unit, and have it working in parallel with your existing wall button.

If the receiver clip on the garage door button wire properly, that wire will provide power to the receiver. If there is no light on the receiver, the wires may not clip properly.

can this remote work with a honeywell chime?

This model GBRV remote kit works with 99.9% of the national brand garage door opener. If your Honeywell garage door opener is too old, it may need the 12V DC adaptor. However, if you Honeywell opener has multi-function wall console or you have to press and hold or press twice the wall button to open or close the door, this GBRV won’t work.

In my case its about 20 feet. It varies depending on garage-door seal and door material, angle of approach, and if precipitation present. Extend antenna to its limit for better reception.

I have an older Model 409 Genie system will this kit work on my unit ?

This unit is compatible with the Genie brand, so it should be able to work. You may have to purchase a 12VDC 100mA power supply, to get his unit to work, with your older Genie opener.
