Rated 5 de 5 de par I used these only at the ends of the panels... I used these only at the ends of the panels to fasten and seal those areas.. they are almost a perfect fit with the ridges/valley's of the panels, so getting an air/water tight seal was easily possible by running a thin bead of silicone sealant where these join at the panel.

I put mine on the bottom for a chicken coop to keep things from crawling in but you could put them at the top as well or both. They need to be at the same angle as the roof so you can't put them on the ridge beam.

Do these click together on the ends into one long line? Can you screw them down on the ends or only in certain spots? Thanks.

They have tabs that slide together on ends but no locking feature. There are screw holes in several locations including the ends.

will these fit tight on Palruf panels?

Posée par: Lynn
Not sure what you mean by “tight fit”.  They are designed for the purpose and work well.

I thought these should be a perfect fit. Why is there approximately 3/16" space under the valleys? It appears the crowns are 3/16" too high. At this point I am cutting my own out of wood that fit perfectly. Also no big gaps on the sloped sides either. I live in snow country and feel the valleys should provide support also otherwise the weight will stress the screwed down crowns. Any opinions? I found a way to cut them quickly on my table saw. ( Pictures taken on a table with a board on top to hold panel flat)

I bought these for a screened in patio that I built I use them for the corrugated material with a little caulking they were completely sealed at the top to not allow any bugs to get in they were very easy to work with and I would highly recommend them

To use the polycarbonate panel as a privacy panel on top of a wall, are these closure strips recommended or can I bolt the pane directly to a supporting stock of aluminum?

Assuming you are using these in a strictly vertical application….a wall or privacy panel I would see no real need for the closure strips.…I would however recommend still using a self-tapping fastener with a rubber gasket….

Do you screw in the 1 inch wood screw on every indentation or just maybe two or three total per strip? (one on the end , one in the middle, one on the other end? Thanks.. .seems like a ton of screws to support a vinyl roof
Posée par: daniel
Depends on the wind in your area. Here in southern AZ we get some intense gusts along with sustained 20+ mph for at least one month every year, sometimes more. Even so, the last time I put these up I used three per strip just like you described (end, mid, other end) and haven't had any problems. You are correct - that would be a very large number of screws if you did every indentation!
