Rated 5 de 5 de par DIY Greenhouse I repurposed my sons sandbox and turned it into a greenhouse. I am new to woodworking and I had no idea how I was going to pull it off well after looking at many greenhouses and YouTube videos I finally decided that I would do the whole greenhouse with this material and I am so happy I did! Super easy to use I did struggle a little on the cutting so I bought a Ryobi Small cutter and that word great! I highly recommended these panels for any greenhouse or just anything you want to protect.

What are some ideas to seal in the Vertical edges? I bought metal roof flashing/drip edge. Is there a more attractive option?

Posée par: fraggle499
There are three flashings offered for Suntuf. A ridge cap, side ridge and wall connector. Please review the installation instructions to determine of a side ridge would work for your project.

I want to install these panels under my 12’ high raised deck to provide shelter from the rain when we sit underneath the deck. Is this something that would work? I would simply attach the panels to the joists at a slight angle to allow for drainage.

Posée par: RonD
While it is not a typical application these panels have been used for this purpose to shed water as long as they are installed on a slope to run water out and away from your building

I need to replace the panels on the pergola I have. Over time, lots of time, they have begun to crack and parts are falling off. My husband who is now deceased installed the panels. Who would I contact to remove the old ones and install new ones?

A General Contractor in your area should be able to do this project for you. Installation instructions are available online at https://www.palram.com/us/product/suntuf-diy-polycarbonate-corrugated-sheets/

Im going to build the frame according to the Manuel. Should I ise green treated lumber becaise its outdoors? Or can I use regular framing pine lumber?

Posée par: Raul
Unless it is a temporary structure or you are going to insulate and seal all openings and penetrations use treated lumber. Regular wood would likely suffer water damage (mold/ rot over an extended period.

I am considering using this product to construct some raise beds for planting veggies. Would they work to hold the dirt in place. I would probably use metal stakes every 4 ft to support them. This product would be to secure the sides of the beds.

Safe to grill under?

I have an awning on my back deck covered by this material, approximately 9ft in height. Would it be safe to place my gas grill under?
Posée par: Luke
It would be OK to grill under if the smoke was able to funnel somewhere.  If not, you should grill on the side somewhere.  Great product.
