Rated 1 de 5 de par Broke while testing This product seemed like a good idea but it didn't work out. It released easily and went back together as designed at first. Great. I then added a key to each side and decided it would be a good idea to connect and disconnect a couple of times before I trusted it. Well good thing I did because after the third time disconnecting, it did not click back in. I was very careful so I can't imagine it would stay together in everyday use. Don't trust this product with any important key you might have. I hate giving bad reviews but losing keys really sucks so I felt I had to.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Used to be good My wife and I recently had to replace our push-apart key holders after the ones we had been using (and purchased at Home Depot) for 5+ years eventually stopped making a secure attachment. We bought these as replacements. They each broke within 3 months. Each time one of the two bearing balls on the male end has somehow fallen out. This is a garbage product, do not buy.

Rated 5 de 5 de par These things are awesome! I've been using this style of keychain for nearly 20 years. I think the one I'm currently using is about 12 years old. I've never had a problem with any of them due to defective materials or poor craftsmanship. They're extremely durable and makes changing keys out a breeze. I recommend putting your personal house and other miscellaneous keys on the end with the push button and leaving the female coupler for the car keys. If you have multiple vehicles in your family as we do, swapping out car keys only takes seconds. I also recommend that in the unfortunate event someone where to demand you hand over your car keys, you can instantly detach ONLY the car keys so they have no easy access into your home should they dig through the car for personal information and find your address. This is the only keychain I like, this is the only one I will ever use. It's not super sexy, it's not colorful -- but it's very dependable. Prices vary where ever you go -- but for $2.00 it's not a bad deal whatsoever.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Didn’t work upon opening. After fiddling for what seemed like forever to get the wrapping off, the keychain never pulled apart. Absolutely worthless.

I've been using this key ring for probably 10 or 20 years (I don't recall when I purchased it) and was only been able to locate at HD when I looked to purchase a second one recently. In any case, while I don't pull it apart often it's always worked well and provides some flexibility. I did confirm with the second one that it is a bit difficult to remove from the packaging but this wasn't a big deal for me.

Rated 5 de 5 de par We’ve had ours for 2 years no issues. Honestly, no it’s not a smooth unlock but I also would want it to be, I’d hate to lose my keys randomly. I rather deal with the “stickiness” of it over anything. It’s very helpful for grab and go especially when you’re ready to drive off and you don’t want to turn off your vehicle to pull off the house keys (I’m notorious for doing this). Getting another soon for another set of keys.

how do i take apart the three part push apart key ring

how do i take apart the three part push apart key ring, bought home depot, red and blue, three part
Posée par: benjamin
It looks like three parts, but it's really only two. To take it apart: First push the smallest side, towards the middle, all the way in.Then, while still holding it in the middle, grab the middle part and pull from the biggest part. That should separate them. Note: to re-attach, you have to do the same thing. push the small part, back into the middle, then insert back into the biggest part, after you've fully inserted it you can stop pushing, an should be attached securely. If it isn't, push the small part again, and make sure you've pushed the middle, all the way into the big. Hope this helps.
