Rated 4 de 5 de par Great idea for limited space I grew the large topsy turvey on my deck this summer with 6 tomato plants and 3 pepper plants. I gor more tomatos than I did from the ones in my garden. I watered it faithfully every day with a bucket of water. We screwed two legs right to the decking and it withstood 2 storms with 60 and 75 mile an hour winds. It was on a screen porch so I did take a Q tip and polinate the flowers when the occational bee did not get in. Tomatoes were small but so were the ones from the garden (I heard that was a prob due to weather this year) It was a great was to grow tomatoes. I bought one for my dad for next year.

Rated 1 de 5 de par this item does what it is suppose to with exceptions. You can grow tomatoes but you must keep the plant trimmed small. It becomes rootbound quickly! In extreme heat areas you MUST protect the top with mulch as the soil settles the roots are exposed and burn quickly. Watering must be done by soaking the plant with a hose till it is full then let it drain. Also the pictures on the packaging suggest it will work for zucchini but it fails miserably. I grew the plant fairly large but it would not grow anything bigger than an inch before dying. Again it was rootbound. Zucchini is a vining plant which will root as it grows obviously it cannot do this in the air.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Simple and effective My wife and I purchased two of these planters a few months ago and our tomato plants are now jam packed with fruit ready to pick. I recently purchased two more online as our local stores were sold out. I transplanted our bell pepper plants and within a day, the leaves had perked up and within a few days the peppers are noticeably bigger. As others have stated, the planters get heavy and a little awkward to work with when placing the plant and filling with dirt. In most situations, you'll need two people to get it set up. But once it is up and hanging, nothing could be easier. We are already looking forward to getting our plants in early next spring.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Best idea ever. Plant a whole garden this way. Just sold our place in Texas and relocated in Colorado. In packing and moving we found we had two of these things we had never used. (Bought at Home Depot) and desided to try them now in Colorado. Do these things really work? YES!!!!! Fact is we have gone to our local Home Depot and now are growing our whole garden this way. What else can you do? Use other hanging planters to get the same results. Drill a hole in the bottom and you have a neet planter. Your ideas with these are unlimited. Home Depot has many pots you can use for new ideas. We have a whole garden today and do not pull or did weeds. You can as well. Make the switch and visit Home Depot or other places.

Rated 5 de 5 de par I bought 2 to hang from a post I put up in my garden to try tomatoes in.Well ,I was pretty impressed by how well they were doing,so I went out to buy more planters at my Home Depot store, but they told me they'd sell out the same day they got them in.Instead of waiting I went on-line and bought 3 more for Bell Peppers and Zucchini. All are doing great and I now have vegetable trees in the middle of my corn, peas, beans, etc. Saves room, looks cool, I'll be doing it again next year.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Topsy turvy I get really skeptical when purchasing this that are "as seen on t.v.", but i was looking for an alternative to planting because I've noticed a lot of ants and moths in my yard this season. I asked for assistance from a store clerk about the above problem, and not only did i receive guidance on ridding the pests; I also was given the Topsy Turvy alternative. I picked up one of each: strawberry, tomatoes, hot peppers and another tomato one to grow red bells. To my surprise they started growing within a few days and I already have go looking fruit. GREAT PRODUCT. There is some work to be done to set them up and hang them, but they work. In the long run it was probably a good investment.

Rated 1 de 5 de par I got stuck Bought a Topsy Turby tomato planter and two strawberry. They lasted about 4 months and by then the sun had eaten them up. I came home the other day and my strawberry planter and fallen apart. There was my strawberry, hanging for its life. The sun eaten all three of them up. The tomato planter was two small for the root ball of the tomato. All three of the planters have come apart from the sun.

Rated 4 de 5 de par This product does grow tomatos... The Topsy Turvy has some pros and cons. Pros: - tomatos grow. Recommend using the bush style tomato plants - aesthetically pleasing - because it hangs, animals don't have easy access to the plants - can grow tomatos from a deck as opposed to in a garden - the product is priced right! Cons: - planter gets heavy with the full amount of soil - plastic ring that holds cover does not fit properly. It's actually too large for the diameter of the cylinder. - cover does not really fit over the cables properly
