Rated 5 de 5 de par Awesome Snow Blower I picked up the last one at Home Depot the day before a 30" storm. I added gas and oil, and it started up on the 2nd pull. I cleared 12" twice and 6" once, and this little machine powered through the white stuff without a problem. It cleaned down to the pavement. It's light and maneuverable. I was a little fearful that it wouldn't be powerful enough to clear 12"+ inches at a time, but I found that if cleared 75% of a full swath, it had no difficulty. I'm very satisfied with this machine. I purchase the electric start version because that's the only model Home Depot had, but based on how easy it starts, I don't think I'll ever need to use it.

I live in West Michigan where we receive a great deal of lake effect snow from Lake Michigan. I clear a large driveway (30' x 80') and move the snow to the side of the driveway. I also clear a large cement patio. The snow blower has started with one or two pulls and runs well. I have not had the need to use the electric start. This has started easily. This replaced a Toro I had from the 80's. The old machine was a two-cycle engine. The 4 cycle engine is a nice change. I was able to move wet, heavy snow as well as light powder snow. The snow easily reaches beyond the sides of the driveway from the center so I do not have to clear the same snow a second time.

Not a good start..1st I had it delivered to my home which my neighbor 4 doors down actually delivered it to me around 9PM. Good thing he knew me! Out of the box the next day and the rear wheel axle was bent! No real biggie but come on now, really...called an ordered the new axle and will repair it myself as didn't want to go thru the hassle of returning it. Toro also does NOT supply the electric cord for the ELECTRIC start...another REALLY! The review says if I add a photo with my machine in action I have a chance to win $1,000 but I can't send one in action as its broke...sending pic anyway... I will update after the 1st snow fall

Rated 5 de 5 de par Purchased just for decks. I need a snow thrower for my 2 large decks. I purchased this today and came home and made quick work of clearing 6" of snow that fell a day ago. I think it will handle 10" of normal snow without any issue. Remember this is not to be compared to a 2 stage snowblower. The price is right and it will save your back from shoveling. For smooth surfaces this thing is great. Used correctly all the gripes of other reviews go away. If you get feet of snow in your area and have a large space to clear i would step up to the 7 series. for decks and sidewalks and small paved driveway this is all you need. I also own a 2 stage Honda snow blower and still say this thing rocks.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good for the price I bought this after the first snow for a small driveway(about 40yrds) and walkway at my house. We got about 8" and it was warming up by the time I got home and started removing the snow. It handled moderately wet snow just fine, although it was a bit slow going compared to a larger more powerful snow blower(to be expected). The really wet stuff was a bit trickier, I had to push it into the snow until it started to stall then pull it back and repeat that until I got through it. But it go through it all. I had to resort to a shovel to deal with the piles left from the city plows because that was mostly ice and slush.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Best small snow blower I've ever used I bought this snow blower for my snow/landscape business. I needed something light to get in and out of the truck because I cant put the tailgate down due to my salter. We were forecast to get 10 inches and ended up getting 16 and with drifts it was over 20". This snow blower throws the snow about 25-30 feet, much farther then my bigger toro that's about 4 years old. Its also a 4 stroke which I didn't know when I bought it, so no mixing fuel and oil. Its also pretty quiet. I went through multiple sidewalks and driveways and this thing never stalled. I had to go slow, but that was much better then shoveling! I will be buying 2 more of these next year for my crew

Rated 5 de 5 de par I love this little machine! I have a 28" Ariens I've been using at an apartment complex with allot of brick for a few years. Would always get caught up on the bricks and come to a dead stop. Bought this little guy and I've used it for 2 storms now. Gets right down to the pavement! And doesn't get caught on bricks! This thing is so much faster and nimble than my big blower! It's like operating a vacuum cleaner! Goes right through 6" of snow with ease. Even if you have a big blower, get one of these anyway. Awesome! My friend has had the same 18" Toro for about 25 years and it's still going strong so I'm hoping this one can last that long too.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Does the job well Bought this snowblower to do a very large deep 3 car garage with a RV pad and a corner lot with long sidewalk... We usually get 2-3 inches of snow at a time with a rare 6-8 inches occasionally. We have used this snowblower twice this year with 2-3 inchs and it did a great job.this unit weighs only 50 lbs which makes it very easy to move around.this unit actually pulls you though the snow which makes the job a lot easier..it starts on two pulls every time.the cons; only 18 inch of clearance, the key to start or turn off the blower is located in a hard to reach spot.the pros; it weighs(50lbs)half of what the next size snowblower does,it does a very good job of moving the snow.

Do these blowers use only Gasoline or do you have to mix in oil?

Posée par: Jeff
You must fill the engine with oil the way you would with your vehicle, but you don't mix oil with the fuel. It comes with 12oz of engine oil which is the appropriate amount to fill it for the first time.

Can this be used on paver driveways or do I need to purchase rubber/plastic shoes?

This works fine anywhere you need it. On regular sidewalks, paver areas and I have a very large raised wood deck in my backyard it is perfect
