Rated 1 de 5 de par Do NOT Buy!!! We purchased this flooring last year for our living/dining room area. It looked great after it was installed but quickly became a massive regret and big waste of time and money. The product states it is ok in temperature controlled rooms, but in areas of sunlight, the planks have separated and even lifted. It is also suppose to be scratch resistant, but there are marks all under our dining room table which rarely gets used. This product is suppose to be supported by a 25 yr residential warranty and didn't even last us 1 year. I cannot find any company contact information to activate the "warranty" and get this replaced for us. I don't not recommend this product or brand at...

Rated 5 de 5 de par love the new floor Our old kitchen floor was horrible so nearly anything would have been better, regardless of that it took us a while to decide what to get. I should put a before and after picture on here - the floor looks fantastic and we're very pleased (note that we're finicky about the aesthetics of our surroundings, not easy to please) - living in a rental apartment we didn't want to spend very much, we were prepared to settle for 'ok' but honestly, it turned out better than we expected. The flooring is quite easy to install. It takes a bit to get the knack of laying the flooring down and it is easier with two people, although one person could manage.

I have to say this flooring was a little more difficult to install than I anticipated. I did have multiple rooms and door frames to battle. I feel it would be very simple in a single room or open concept. The product seems durable and realistic looking. This particular color (brushed oak) has a lot of variation. I was fine with that however if you want something that is consistent in color, you may want to look into another color. The planks in the boxes ranged from a pale beige to a dark gray. I do like the product however I used it in a basement. If this were in a main living space I think I would have sprung for the thicker allure product.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great easy to lay floor I bought 2000sqft of this on sale to refinish the entire upstairs. This floor goes on fast, 1 hour did 300 sqft including complex cuts. The comments about pets.. the floor will show markings when looked at at the right angle, the surface wear layer is flat, but as you use it becomes semi gloss , what they are seeing is pre-wear from the dogs nails. Also mentioned was the glue strip.. this stuff is sticky, when you pay it down, make sure it's clean! the poster has pets, almost guaranty the strips were full of dog hair. Use Methyl Hydrate to clean the glue strip, it will remove the debris but not the glue. let dry and install. The floor will only look as good as your sub-floor,any dips or ruts will show, use floor leveler. Take you time, do it right and it looks good, don't complain when you did a bad job and the floor looks bad.

You only need a utility knife and a tapem. You only have to be really careful when you do put the planks down, make sure that the sides have no space in between, for the simple reason, that it is really difficult to pull them back up, if you make a mistake. I will for sure recommend this floor to any room in the house. I'm a female and in my sixties and I did it all by myself. So I do believe that anybody can install this product.

Rated 5 de 5 de par TrafficMaster Allure Hickory Resilient Plank Floor This flooring is the best. Easy to move into any room, because it's in boxes, and not a 12' roll, very easy to install, at first we just did the kitchen, it looked great. Most visitors could not tell it wasn't real wood. The diversity of the planks is good but a few more patterns wouldn't hurt. After a couple months of washing, sweeping and traffic, we did the dining, hallway and living room. The cost was about $1400.00, but the value went up a good $6000.00 if not more. Should anything happen to a part of it, burn or a cut, removing a piece to replace it is no problem, just cut it, pull it out and add a new plank. Great stuff, highly recommended.

Within SIX months the flooring started showing a defect on the ends ( called Teepeeing). The defect only affects our "hallway area" about 10% of the total installation. Installer came back out, checked for correct install and verified defect. Inspector came out and verified defect. Traffic Master denied our claim and basically indicated that in order for us to see the inspectors written report we would have to get a lawyer. So their "warranty" is worth NOTHING.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Beautiful Flooring, Easy to Work With Love this flooring. It was very easy to work with. I have never laid flooring before and I'm not very handy but this product was easy to use, just measure and cut with a knife. I used it in a condo. I ripped out the carpet and laid this vinyl flooring right on the concrete. It is flexible and has a thin soft padding on the underside, so it hides any imperfections in the concrete. I even used it to cover tiles in the kitchen and it worked beautifully. I will use this product again in another property I have. And it has a 25 year warranty from Home Depot. Love it!

I know I read that appliances can be installed on top of this flooring, but what about a water heater that will be in my laundry room? Is it OK under a water heater?
Posée par: shellyb
Thanks for your question. Other appliances (with legs and/or wheels) are ok to install on top of the floor but we recommend cutting around the water heater. Our main issues are the large base (doesn't give the planks room to expand and contract properly) and the weight (binds the planks down.) It can lead to planks gapping or buckling.

Does this product need underlayment ?

Posée par: Moti
It is always best to use underlayment. It is a durable but thin product so the underlay film helps prevent mold etc.

has anybody had any issues with expansion and contraction gapping because of temperature variations?
Posée par: kennchrisl
Thank you for your question-allure should not be installed in an environment where the temperature is allowed to go below 55F or above 85F. Carefully inspect each plank for visual defects prior to installation. Do not install damaged planks.

for those of you who have installed this flooring in a bathroom, how did you protect against water seepage near the bathtub, seeing that the manufacturer recommends leaving a 1/4" gap next to walls, bathtubs, etc?
Posée par: kennchrisl
I love this floor, we were able to lay it within an hour,( in the bathroom ) and I am going to put it in my kitchen next. It looks great and cleans up gorgeous.

How many planks per case

How many planks per case
Posée par: Judi
There were 16 planks per case when I purchased this flooring. If you're comparing to other flooring you can use this equation: 6" x 36" or 0.5' x 3' plank = 1.5 sq ft per plank 24 sq ft per case / 1.5 sq ft per plank = 16 planks
