Fabriqué au Canada, les ventilateurs en ligne Vortex VTX400P, pour un conduit de 4 pouces, sont munit d'un interrupteur de pression qui détecte l'air poussé à l'intérieur d'un conduit de ventilation. Permettant ainsi le démarrage et l'intérruption automatique du VTX400P au besoin. Le VTX400P démarrera automatiquement simultanément avec la sécheuse et restera en fonction jusqu'à l'intérruption de celle-ci. Ceci premettra de réduire le temps de séchage ainsi que la consommation énergétique. Ne pas utiliser avec des sècheuse à gaz.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Poorly Designed In-line Exhaust Fan I replaced my dead Nutone in-line fan and bought this fan. It's mounting bracket is poorly designed with very few options on attaching it to a wall or ceiling. What really cut down on the ways to mount it was the cheap plastic electrical box mounted on the circumference. It limited mounting positions. The Nutone fan did not have this problem since the electrical box was metal and welded to the face of the fan. As well the electrical box is made of a really low grade plastic and it broke in two places. I had to replace it with my own metal housing. In short, I'm not impressed with this product and do not recommend it.

Mounted in the garage and when it runs it is very quiet. The Vortex website said can be used for kitchen exhaust, but a label on the fan said "NOT for kitchen use". I called Vortex technical support and he clarified that it is designed to be used as a booster but not directly over the hot oven surface. Well constructed and must be firmly supported with brackets.

How quiet are these fans? And what is the difference between them? And, does the "optional speed control" come with the fan, or is that an additional accessory?

Hello, The VTX600L develops 293 CFM's and the VTX600 develops 497 CFM's. The VTX600L is 7 sones at 0.25''w.g. and the VTX600 is 8.4 sones at 0.25'' w.g. No, the optional speed control doesn't come with the fan. Thank you!
