Great! This is a great idea for a combination of mirror, towel warmer and bathroom heater. The picture does it no justice, perhaps some additional real photographs would show the product off to its best advantage. For 250 watts a mere one sixth of most space heaters, it does give out a kick. Of course a bathroom is a much smaller space to heat. Is a pricy luxury though. High Quality Material, Contemporary Bauhaus style Mirror, Not for DIYER with average electrical experience.Stunning quality and design, it is not a cheap metal mount or low quality material in the mirror. I'm a girl from steel country who notices that first about any product. The Bauhaus style design of the mirror works eclectically in a small space to create a sophisticated appearance.
I wanted to renovate my home's main bath to look rich and contemporary. However, multiple technical problems with this installation and in the home itself prevented me from finishing.
I was at first overwhelmed with excitement about installing this mirror myself. Unfortunately, I am a DIYER only with experience installing basic fans and lights. A few logistical problems prevented me from completing the job. I know my limits but have so much experience with general lighting thought this would be easy. Not so, and I've spent decades online learning how to do things myself.
1) My GFCI connection for my bathroom is located next to the Medicine Cabinet, near a short wall and next to the doorway. The Cabinet is built into the short side of the wall.
2) The directions say that the Thermostat needs to be located 3 feet from the Lava Mirror on a GFCI Protected Circuit.
3) This is a small bathroom
4) The GFCI connector to the Thermostat would have to go from the corner of the door where
the connector is around the corner to the longest wall where the Lava Mirror would also go.
5) That might require tearing out some wall around the medicine cabinet, but maybe not, as I
have no experience doing this.
6) Placing the Thermostat 3 feet away from the Lava Mirror on the one wall pushes the Mirror too
close to the Big tub that should not be in this little bathroom.
Even though I could not work out the individual electrical work around to finish this project, I wanted to write this review for the women out there like me who are American women.
I know we have an I CAN attitude. Warmly Yours has not provided a support page with any installation information that is visual, pictures or video. I assume that is because their Target Market would use a professional. As a writer I read, calculate and execute ideas I've never worked on before all of the time. I would prefer to learn to do it myself.
After two months, of incredible house problems, and leaving a message on a popular TV show Facebook page, there is no Video or TV show that could aid my installation dilemmas.
I recommend everyone write to Warmly Yours to send one of these to your favorite DIY TV show so us American women can get guidance to DIY this installation. This was my own idea. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
