Rated 5 de 5 de par I bought this lamp in April 2015. The lamp failed within a week. The company was excellent and ... I bought this lamp in April 2015. The lamp failed within a week. The company was excellent and sent me a new lamp, and prepaid the return of the faulty one. This second lamp has been working very well ever since. I now notice that after two and a half years the battery is getting weak and will have to be replaced. We've had wind storms, hail storms, high temperatures, below zero temperatures, ice storms, etc. and the lamp has never failed. It gives nice light on the low setting and a much brighter light on the high setting. It has stayed on all night ever since we installed it. Even after cloudy days, it still stays lit. I would highly recommend this product!

Rated 4 de 5 de par Disappointed I was very happy with the lamp until after a couple of months it quit working properly. On the low setting, it would just blink from bright to low and right back to bright. So I left it on bright. I really like the seeded glass, giving the patterned light. Well built, good looking. Overall, very happy, with that one caveat. I bought another to go with it. The second lamp is very different. It does not have seeded glass; it's clear. The paint on the first one is flat black; the second one is almost glossy. So, I have two lamps that don't match and one of them doesn't work as it should. Just a bit disappointed. Really like them otherwise.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great light - bright and looks really nice! We were able to pick these up when HD had a daily deal on them, and wish we had gotten more than 2. Solar lights seem to have come a long way over the last 10 years or so, where we were so consistently disappointed with solar lights, that we gave up on them. But the reviews on these and some recent solar string lights made us try them out. Easy to put together - except they're made to go onto a deck, so we had to experiment to get them to stay upright in dirt. Great quality - aluminum, but they look iron from afar. The light does have a pebbly look to it, as mentioned, but I think it looks nice. Fairly bright on the lower setting, nice and bright on the higher. I would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Very nice solar lamp Easy to assemble but you need a concrete drill bit & hammer drill to install post on existing concrete. Assembly directions are clear. Post assembly threads are well made but you still need to be very carefull not to cross thread. Light works perfect. I like the low setting because it still goes on high when motion is detected and it is still plenty of light. Not sure I like the idea of replacing the batteries every 2 or 3 years but we shall see. I like the lamp enough to buy some for my posts.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Well-made; Needs battery replacement info This is a high-quality aluminum light post with LED lantern that lives up to its advertised specifications. Takes only 10 minutes to assemble using the supplied allen wrench; however, does need mounted to a firm base such as a deck or concrete pad; concrete pad fasteners supplied. Packaging is good but supplier should have first placed components in clear plastic wrapping to avoid scuffs during shipment; unit had minor scuffs from rubbing its cardboard box. Recognizing that at some point the battery will need replaced, there is no info in the owner's manual about how to replace it or what type to use. As such, the lantern may not have a life longer than its battery, which could be just a couple years based on other solar outdoor LED lights I've purchased over the last 5 years. Hopefully there will be an update to the owners manual online when it comes time for battery replacement.

Rated 5 de 5 de par High Quality and Beautiful Display. I was pleasantly surprised by the pattern this light casts on the ground. I was expecting just a basic flat light but the glass is etched in a way that turns the light on the ground into circular highlights that gives a very nice effect. The materials are high quality and solid. The lamp looks elegant even during the day time. It has two modes of operation; a bright light mode that lasts about 4 hours when fully charged each day by the Sun and a low light mode that comes on at dark and is still going by the time I go to bed. And the low-light mode provides plenty of light across a large area. The lamp has a built in motion detector that activates the bright light mode when it is running in the low-light mode. The assembly is easy with threaded connections and the lamp mounts on the post using three bolts that are provided in the box along with an allen wrench. The product was designed to bolt to a deck or concrete patio and the bolts are provided to this. However, this is beyond my skill level so I used three 12” stakes into the ground. The base is about 12” wide so it does need to be attached to keep it upright. I was also thinking of putting in a terracotta pot with dirt and flowers around it, but it stays put using the stakes. This is something you will enjoy for years – and you’ll love the pattern on the ground instead of just boring light.

This lamp is just beautiful and adds so much to the appearance of our entry way....not only in curb appeal but also lighting up the walkway! The glass lamp projects a beautiful pattern onto the surrounding area and the featureless of it getting brighter as you approach is wonderful. It also produces enough light in the dim modeto illuminate the walkway and shrubbery. It is of quality materials and was east to assemble. I would highly recommend this lamp!

Rated 5 de 5 de par "Stay on Whole Night" Really Does Stay on Whole Night :) Construction is top notch. No pressed metal weakling with this post lamp. The entire structure is thick cast aluminum. The lamp itself screws down around the top, the middle section screws together and you use three bolts to hold it all to the base. The wrench is included. No tools needed! It asssembles is about 15 minutes after unboxing. Only oneperson needed. The light itself is very sturdy and also cast metal. The glass is real glass, no plastic to cloud up later. It's "seeded" meaning the glass is clear and has little bubbles blown into it all over. A very classy antigue glass look is the result. The LED casts a very bright white light. You can easily read by it if you were standing under the light. It's not a faint glow at all. About the equivalent of a 40-50watt bulb. The base has three holes for the included mounting rods, which can be set in concrete or wood after drilling holes. Or, as with my installation in a flower bed, you just use the 15 inch long galvanized lawn spikes sold at Home Depot and pound all three into the ground. Either way, you have a rock solid installation. The light sensor for dusk to dawn operation works reliably and the motion sensor will pick up movement within about ten feet or so. When on and fully charged the light does in fact last all night. Even in the fall when days are much shorter, before the sun comes up the light is still shining at full brightness. Much better than other lights. It needs about six hours of direct sunlight to charge fully. I couldn't be more pleased with this light post. A very nice touch to the yard/sidewalk.

I hand mixed and poured a small (16”x16”) concrete base and set bolts in the concrete. Then set the unit in place and tightened the nuts.

The light is white. It looks really cool on the ground or a wall because the glass is "seedy", that is it has air bubbles that add shadow and texture wherever the light falls.

I do not know. You might could use a Cree high power LED but then the two 2amp batteries would not last long. Best to buy a high power lamp head (They sell for much more than this lamp does). 300 lumens is quite bright.

I didn't want to dig also and did what many have done. I bought a resin oak barrel planter and filled it with gravel placing flower pots all around. I cut two 1x6" to fit in the bottom of the resin barrel and used 5/16" 3" long bolts to hold it all together.

actually stay on all night?

I purchased these back in December but hubby just installed 2 days ago, and there not lasting the full night. anyone else have this issue?

No problem with mine. Did you let it charge for a few days BEFORE turning it on? The batteries need a full charge to last all night. Also do you have it on low. It is not designed to last all night on high.
