Rated 5 de 5 de par AMAZING! I bought the snow sleigh in hopes of cutting down the time I was shoveling snow in my driveway. This not only cut the time down to under half, it also saves your back. I am so amazed with this product I've been telling all my friends on facebook about it. I don't think I could ever use a regular snow shovel again. There is no shoveling a small amount of snow, lifting the shovel to through the snow off. This carries so much snow then you just push the shovel and the snow come right off. This product is truly amazing. If you're tired of spending alot of time shoveling and your back hurting, you've got to buy this! I LOVE IT!!!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Ergo Snow Sleigh Living in Upstate NY near the lake...I get a LOT of snow. Having an ancient monster of a snowblower I wanted something that I could use if I had anything other than a blizzard one foot snow dump. This shovel is completely amazing. With very little push effort it clears far more snow than you could imagine and the bucket holds a lot. It's easier than "shovel, lift, dump, repeat". I can go almost the length of the driveway, depending on the amount of snow, and I've found the easiest way to dump the bucket is to either push it to the edge of the bank using my knee or, just tip it sideways. I would highly reccomend to anyone with a back problem or anyone who prefers to "work smart, not hard".

Rated 5 de 5 de par Amazing back saver I easily broke through a deep plowed berm of hard crusted snow. Balancing big chunks and dumping them is difficult with a normal shovel. But I also cleared a large parking area, driveway, and part of the lane with zero back strain or muscle aches. I'm a short woman of 68 years. This was easy. I tell everybody just buy this one, it's a must-have for winter here in Michigan. This is more than an investment, it's going to save your body. Seriously. This purchase was a replacement for a 30-year-old one that finally broke after much use, originally in Alaska. Don't waste another minute with standard shovels!

I tried this Sleigh Shovel as well as the Vertex Snodozer during our blizzard last week. The sleigh shovel won and it's cheaper and almost no assembly! A friend recommended it but I was skeptical. It's light but can move a lot of snow. I recommend starting along one side of your driveway to move one load's worth off and then moving the rest of the snow off via the cleared areas. If you have a downhill side to empty on that helps. We got about 1-1/2 feet and I (110 lb 62 YO woman) cleared our whole driveway (about 10 cars worth of space) all by myself in around 3-4 hours over 1-2 days.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Better when the handle is installed correctly I finally got to try this out after a 12+ inch snowfall. It moved snow a lot quicker than a regular shovel which is what I was looking for. I'm hoping I don't have to use it again for that much snow but it is very helpful for the pile that the snow plow leaves at the end of the driveway. I can use leverage to move the large chunks of snow and ice which really helps because I probably physically would have a really hard time otherwise. When I was using it I kept thinking it was so silly that I have to bend down so low to get the snow up on the banks and then I realized my ridiculous mistake with installing the handle backwards. It works much better when you get that part right.

Rated 5 de 5 de par AWESOME Shovel After researching numerous types of shovels, I chose this shovel because of True Temper brand name and width. I was afraid if I purchased one greater the 24inches it might be too heavy to move. Could not wait for the first snowfall and when we got hit with 8 inches of heavy moisture snow I busted out the new shovel. One word AWESOME this can move snow. Once the shovel is full it literally glides on top of the snow! I have a 3 car garage and I cleaned the cement pad in less than HALF of the time it typically takes. I am a lifelong resident of Colorado and I wish I would have bought one of these 20 years ago. You will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Solid Investment I bought this right before the blizzard in January of this month. This shovel is great in picking up vast amounts of snow. The hard part is building snow ramps to drag the shovel up to dispose of the snow. At times we had too much snow and I couldn't drag the shovel up to get rid of the snow. I would use another shovel to help build a berm and then I could use this big daddy to get rid of the snow. Loved the shovel. My neighbors saw it and their going to invest in one as well. Worked great in opening up the driveway after the plows kept blocking with snow from the road. Saved me hours of shoveling and was less taxing on my back. The hard part for me will be storing this thing off season.

Can this shovel be safely used on a shingled roof? I ask this because I see a wrap around edge. Really in need of quick snow removal for my roof. My sno joe, although it gets to the peak of the roof, I'm in need something that can cover more real estate much quicker. Appreciate any input.
Posée par: bettyboop
Not sure that the Garant would be the best tool for that. There are products which are designed specifically for clearing snow off roofs. They are typically called "snow rakes" or "snow roof rakes" and have extendable handles so you can work from the ground.

How well does this work if you are using it on a sidewalk and you get down to bare sidewalk surface? Will you hurt the sled surface? Does it need to be used on top of packed snow to work well?
Posée par: basstwo
The bottom of the sleigh shovel really should not scrape the sidewalk. This will cause the smooth gliding surface to become scratched. If you have a lot of snow, it is worth having two shovels - this to remove most of the snow very quickly, and a metal scraper to finish with.

Confused which type of snow pusher to purchase to clear the sidewalk and dump the snow onto the curbside. Is this shovel ideal for this need? Any tips or recommendations?

I have owned a number of sleigh-type shovels and this one is really well engineered and the price is right.

Once assembled can you detach the handle for storage?
Posée par: Erik
I don't think you can. When I got this and put it together I had to insert the handle into the shovel and push down utill it snaps and locks into place. I do not see anyway to unsap it with out possibly breaking it. I hang my in the garage by the handle. Hope helps.

Can this be used on a flat roof? IE will it damage shingles?Jo

Posée par: Jon
Yes. The shovel is mostly heavy duty plastic with a rounded (not sharp) metal edge on the end. As you use this shovel to clear the roof, go with the shingles (i.e. down the roof) and just lift up slightly and you should be fine.

Is the blade really plastic?

I am looking for a plastic bladed shovel (to shovel a deck without scratching it. This shovel's specs say it has a plastic blade but in the answers to the first question asked several people mentioned a metal blade. I'm confused!!!
Posée par: SnowGal
It is a plastic shovel with a metal blade on the front. I use it for my deck. Just leave a thin layer of snow.
