Rated 1 de 5 de par Dif gel This product was a waste of money...it really didn't make a "dif" whether I used it or not! I scored the wallpaper, sprayed it with Dif and let it sit for awhile. It seemed as though the gel had no effect on the paper at all because the glue underneath the top layer was barely even wet (at least not enough to loosen it from the top layer and/or remove the glue from the wall). It was very frustrating! So, I turned to a cheaper method that actually worked...vinegar and water. It soaked through the holes I made with the scoring tool and loosened the top layer from the glue layer. Once you have the top layer off, it's easy to get the glue off the wall. You don't necessarily need a $10 product to do it (especially one that doesn't work well anyways).

Rated 4 de 5 de par stripper We used this product on wallpaper from the 70's. We did not score the paper like required and sprayed on the gel. We found that the longer you let the gel sit the better!! We did have to respray sections to get the paper wet again, but it worked great. It is a little messy so use a drop cloth. We bought the bottle and it was not enough so we went back and bought the refil jug which does 300 sq.

Rated 2 de 5 de par dif gel I found the dif gel to be ineffective removing my wallpaper. I scored the wallpaper first as it recommended, sprayed on the gel, let it sit the recommended time and my wallpaper came off in tiny little bits. It was terrible. I went and bought the concentrated liquid Dif and it worked like a charm. Spend the extra $1.50 and get the liquid...it works better and covers more area. The gel was gone after 3 strips of wallpaper.

Rated 5 de 5 de par This stuff works! I used this gel to remove wallpaper in my kitchen. I have no idea how long the wallpaper was up there, but it was on top of painted, plaster walls. Once I peeled off the top layer of the wallpaper (which came off pretty easily), I sprayed the DIF gel. I waited 10 minutes or less and then used a scraper and the paper came right off! It was so easy and so quick. Luckily, I only had one layer of wallpaper. I don't know how well this product would work with multiple layers of wallpaper. Note that I needed 1.5 bottles for 2 walls, so it has to be used generously.
