Rated 4 de 5 de par Does the job but it takes time. I bought this to glue a 4 X 8 piece of melamine to a 4 X 8 piece of plywood. The adhesive comes out of the can a bit slow and it took a while to completely cover the back of the melamine. About halfway through the process, the nozzle of the adhesive can started dripping and adhesive started to bunch up at the nozzle. It was not a huge issue. The adhesive applied in a very thin layer. I had to make several coats to get the thickness I wanted. However, once I was done getting the adhesive on the melamine, it stuck to the plywood very, very well. I then used screws to secure it fully. The adhesive worked like a charm and there are no wavy areas on my huge whiteboard. Very pleased with the results.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Something is different! I had the same experience with foaming and clumping, but my main complaint is the new product graphics. The English instructions were unreadable due to misalignment of the font colors. Your website does not display these instructions. I don't need an MSDS, just a readable file containing the same information as the can

Rated 1 de 5 de par Adhesive bond failed after a few days I used this product to apply tolex covering to a wooden enclosure. I carefully followed all instructions, the wood was clean and free of any contamination. Temperature was optimal. Everything looked OK until a few days later when several of the seams started to lift and would not stay stuck down. This is the second time I have had problems with this product, guess I should have learned the first time. Now I am out the labor and materials for the tolex installation. Hopefully, IF I can get the sticky goo from the wood, I can try something else on the enclosure as I certainly do not want to start over from scratch. I have a lot of respect for 3M products, this is a big disappointment.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great for attaching speaker grill cloth to grills This was recommended for attaching new grill cloth to speaker grill frames. It worked great. After spraying I let it set about 5 minutes then it was tacky enough to hold the cloth in place. The best part it that it's not permanent - I can tease the grill cloth off the frame and reattach it if it starts sagging or if I didn't get it on square the first time. So far I've fixed two sets of speakers with it and both are holding up fine. I try not to get the spray on back of the visible part of the grill cloth, but if I do it dries pretty clear and can be rubbed off to some extent. I don't see it from the outside when i use premium grill cloth.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Better Than Expected I used this adhesive recently for 2 projects. I used it on a wallpaper border about 40 feet long and 10.25 inches wide and to reglue the side rubber pad on my computer mouse that was falling off from daily use. I prepared the mouse by cleaning both surfaces with rubbing alcohol first. This stuff sticks well but you have to apply what you glue fast. The drying time is about 15 to 20 seconds. Be careful of overspray because it is hard to remove after it dries. You only need a very light coat. Does a great job!!!

Rated 5 de 5 de par The super spray [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this product for 15+ years at work, mostly for gluing sandpaper to tube bending dies to keep the tubing from slipping when bending .it works great and allows you to easily remove the sandpaper when it wears out.I also found it very good at gluing sandpaper to my pedals in my car to keep my feet from slipping when it rains.I am still finding new ways to use this product.A new use came to me working on my car.I was changing the oil pan gasket under my car,and was having a hard keeping it on the pan.I sprayed a little on the gasket and stuck it on the pan and presto no problem it stayed on till I bolted it back on .Great stuff!

Rated 1 de 5 de par A waste of time I bought this to for the interior panels of an older car. It was to bond the vinyl-like cover to the fiberboard backing. It lives up to the claim of being fast-tacking, unfortunately it never goes on to form the bond. I believe I followed the directions step-by-step, but the tackiness never cures, it is still tacky after more than a month.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Dried quickly, worked well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from 3M in return for an honest review. My husband showed me how to use it while we were hanging drywall. We used it for the vinyl corner bead. It dried fairly quickly and held very well. My husband was able to spackle the corner bead within the hour. It looks great. My husband was impressed, as was I, with the way the adhesive held. I also tried it (with my husband's supervision) on applying a jigsaw puzzle to plywood and framing it as a nice picture. Again, the end result turned out very well. I would recommend this adhesive spray if you need an adhesive spray.

Can you paint over this product

Can you paint over this product
Posée par: TD
I would advise against painting over the adhesive. when two parts are bonded together all of the adhesive should be between the two parts therefore, you should never have the need to paint over the adhesive. If you have overspray I use a rag with a little mineral spirits on it to wipe away the overspray before it is totally cured. Mineral spirits may not be the correct material to use for this application so make sure you read the label on the can completely before starting a project. PLEASE keep in mind all of the safety precautions listed on the can.

Does it come in different colors? My couch is a chocolate color

Posée par: Cropdawg1973
I don't believe so. Standard stuff dries to a yellowish off white. If you are gluing fabric it will go between layers and not show at all. If you are gluing trim or something that shows you might be able to use a paint pen over it. Just know this is a explaining glue in that you don't want too much or it will bubble out of seams and it extremely hard to clean up. Wear gloves, protect other surfaces and clean any excess immediately with acetone or such. Good luck

Will super 77 adhere rubber backed carpet treads to stained wood stairs with out harming the stained finish?

Posée par: Dave
Wood surface will be stained once you try to remove the carpet, no damages to wood inside but you have to polish and rebuild the surface wood treatment.

Can you spray only one surface and still have it stick

Posée par: Phil
I used these for labels because it is about the best spray glue out there. It should work if you're generous but be quick as it dries fast. Try a small square first.

Will this help bond a small leak on an aluminim boat

Posée par: Ray
No. You will want at foil backed seal, in the roofing department or epoxy. The metal will have to be cleaned very well, with a wire brush and then a window type cleaner.

Could this be sprayed over 3/4 in duct tape on plaster Trying to make stripes stay on plastered walls without peeling

Posée par: Piscies
Not sure what you are trying to achieve. I'm guessing you are thinking of putting on tape, then paint strips? Anyway, this would be poor choice. This adheres nice, but leaves a residue on the surface. I clean mine off with Lacquer thinner, but this would eat off your other painted surface.
