Rated 2 de 5 de par Switch problems In my application, the pump was quite awkward to install. Once completed, the diaphragm switch failed to activate the pump. Since I threaded the pump directly on to the drain spigot, customer service says it requires a spacer between pump and drain to work. Since I can fill the laundry sink with water and the switch does not activate, my guess is that this should provide ample head pressure to activate the switch. No instructions are available on the diaphragm switch. Even if I could get a replacement switch, it's a major pain to change it out. Think I will just install a manual switch. It also appears I am not the only purchaser to have this issue.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great quality in compact size [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Everbilt 1/3 hp utility pump is another quality product by the Everbilt corporation. While it is may generally be used to eliminate waste water, we have a cabin on the creek and this pump is ideal for elevating water from the creek for cabin use. The size, weight and portability allows us to detach and bring in for storage to prevent theft when we are away. The fifteen foot lift feature is more than adequate for this adaptation and makes life much more enjoyable when spending weekends or vacation time out of the Sonoran Desert. We highly recommend this pump for any use that fits within the specs.

Rated 5 de 5 de par [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pump was just what I needed, and now I am able to install a utility sink in the garage. And I installed a pipe so it just pumps it outside without having to go through the plumbing system. It’s nice and compact so it fits right under the sink without having to do any excess plumbing or carpentry. It’s made up a very heavy duty plastic and pumps 22 gallons per minute which should empty the sink in about five minutes. It’s neat because it has a sump built into it so when it gets to a certain amount of water in the sink or in the pump it’ll automatically pump it out. Now I have that utility sink in the garage that I’ve always wanted.

The auto switch does not work properly I have gone down into my basement to find the sink overflowing with water due to the fact the pump did not kick on. The only way to get it to run is to plug the pump itself directly into outlet bypassing the switch which is useless for an under the sink application. Hoping to return it to home depot just irritating due to the fact it is already plumed in. Skeptical about getting another of the same brand but do not want to re plum entire setup. If I could give no stars I would. Total garbage. Stay away from this pump.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation is fairly straight forward and simple. Be sure your fittings are snug and square when assembling. After assembly I usually turn my faucet to ½-¾ flow and adjust the ball valve (included) so that the pump does not continue to cycle on and off. You will find this adjusted rate will work fine throughout the life of the pump. Be sure to add the provided screen when assembling the unit. The screen goes in the pump inlet. I destroyed a pump once when an object went down the drain and ruined the impellers. You will find this brand of pump to be reliable and last many years.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Heavy duty !!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for heavy duty sink utility pump for a remote outdoor BBQ island sink project and the Everbilt 1/3 HP sink pump is perfect. It's made of quality cast iron and is a bit on the heavy side. I added some bracing supports to ensure it didn't sag the bottom of the sink, but much prefer pumps made our of heavy cast than other light materials. When test activating the pump it was relatively quieter than I thought it would be. The power cord(s) for actuator and motor were long enough that I didn't have to add another near the underside of sink. Overall, this pump was a great selection for my project!.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This utility sink pump is another quality product from Everbilt. I have appreciated their sump pump reliability for years. This pump however is for the utility or laundry sink. It is has a one third horsepower motor and two plugs that piggyback into one GPCI outlet. The installation is pretty straightforward with some custom cut pvc pipe for the need of the water removal situation. This comes with a sink drain filter and the ball valve. The auto on and shut off is a great feature. The maximum discharge is thirteen hundred gallons per hour.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Everbilt 1/3 HP Utility Sink Pump [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Everbilt 1/3 HP Utility Sink Pump allows you to install a sink where no drain currently exists. With a 15ft maximum lift, it easily allows you to add a sink to a basement, or in fact any room where waste water needs to be pumped at least 6 ft higher than the sink (6ft is the minimum lift). The pump has a diaphram switch that senses when water is in the drain and pumps it safely and effectively away. At 1/3 HP this can pump up to 21 gallons per minute, making it ideal for washing machine drains. Adjusting the supplied ball valve allows the pump to be fine tuned for any application.

My current outlet pipe is smaller than the 1 1/4" outlet that comes with this. Having to change out the diameter of the existing pipe (connections etc) would be not much fun. Can I install a reducer above the check valve or would that cause some trouble

Posée par: animaltrouble
GPPUMPS Team: Thanks for the response. Do you think a possible work around would be to keep the vertical pipe at 1 1/4" but then add the reducer near the end of the 6 ft long horizontal run when it attaches to the main pipe?

The pump operates correctly without the sink drain screen. With the sink drain screen installed, the pump will work for a short period and then stop. Once I remove the screen, air bubbles release from the drain and the pump continues to operate.

Posée par: Nabeer
Nabeer-I'm not sure how the sink drain affects the pump Please give us a call at 844 242-2475 and we can review the setup with you. -GP Support

Is this sink pump quiet when draining water out of utility sink

Is this sink pump quiet when draining water out of utility sink
Posée par: Stella
For a below-grade sink pump, "quiet" is a relative question. It is not silent, it is not as loud as a vacuum cleaner. It is also not as loud as the washing machine that is below grade for me. All-in-all, I am pleased that it is not too loud and even more pleased it works so well.

How does the switch or sensor work? I have an all plastic laundry tub and switch does not sense with provided metal strainer installed. Tub just fills up. Without strainer it works fine. The strainer is not stopping the water flow.

Posée par: JimR
JimR - The Sensor works by back pressure. For this to work, the setup instructions must be followed to the letter. Horizontal piping out of the pump should be around a foot, and then there should only be 1 elbow. After that, the vertical must be a minimum of 6.5 feet. Also, the Ball valve and check valve must be on the vertical but below the sink line. And the ball valve must be only open about 5 degrees or so. If you want, you can call us at (844) 242-2475 and we can go over the setup with you. -GP Support

What material is the check valve made from? Should I use PVC cement to seal the pipe to the valve? Can I use ABS instead?

Posée par: Nabeer
Brian - The Check Valve is plastic with a rubber flapper inside. The manual calls fro using PVC Pipe Cement and PTFE Pipe thread sealant tape. -GP Support

My check valve didn't mate well with the pvc pipe. It was still leaking, so I had to remove it. Where can I get a replacement?

Posée par: Kate
Kate-We sell check valves and have in stock if you are under warranty. Please give us a call at (844) 242-2475 and we can assist you with that. -GP Support.

Pretty sure my pump came with a 1 1/2 ball valve and check valve not 1 1/4. How can a get a replacement.

Posée par: Steve
Thanks, I was rushing and realized these accept schedule 40 pipe. Thats why it looked a lot bigger. I was just freaked out. But project is all finished and pump worked great.
