Rated 4 de 5 de par Well worth the price ! I’m generalling the construction of our new house. Which means I have lots of work to do. I bought this set because it was affordable and I don’t plan to use it in any continual capacity. Everything works great, looks great, and was as advertised. I had one issue, the framing nailer wouldn’t always fire, instead you could hear air exhaust around the trigger. I e-mailed Freeman with my “complaint”. The next day they called me to get my address to send me a new trigger kit. I received the kit a couple days later, installed it, and the nailer works perfectly. I was very impressed by Freeman’s support. I’d recommend this buy to a friend.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Wow ! What a deal on a great set of hard hitting nailers ! Got this set of nailers at a great price! ON-Line. Seven Year warranty, great service behind the nailers by Freeman. Rated all across the WEB with highest marks in reviews. I have owned the Name Brands, and had the Freeman's working hard and long enough to make an honest declaration to you guys looking for Nailers you can count on. Buy these and you will be happy! The framing nailer has been mistreated by my crew...but works everyday! It's consistant in it's power and driving nails right like you want. We use the trim nailer, and stapler a lot. Guy's don't pay too much for something else. Get a set of Freeman's and go get your job done!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Wish I had this kit at the start of my projects! I'm very pleased with this kit so far. I still haven't used the stapler but the other three guns have worked great from the beginning so I expect the stapler will be fine when I get around to using it. I did get 1 nail jammed while using the Brad but it was very easy to clear and has not jammed since. These seem like they'll hold up for a while and the quality looks and feels good. Important that you have an adequate size air compressor for these guns especially with the framing gun (uses a lot of air with each shot). I've done much research, I've read plenty of reviews and this kit is the best bang for your buck and has a lot of positive feedback! My thought was "I have nothing to lose anyway" since they offer a return if not satisfied. I'll be keeping my set.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Freeman 4 piece finishing / framing combo is a bargain Very nice combo. Well made, feels good to use. My only complaint was in using the nail gun. I had to use Grip Rite nails, as those were the only brand my local HD store carried for the angle and size my job required (demo and rebuild deck). The nail gun performed brilliantly in driving in nail after 3" nail into treated 2 x 6 lumber. But, I did have a couple of jams, and it would always stop when I got down to 3-5 nails left in the chamber. In most cases, I would drop in a new clip behind the stragglers and all was well. But, once in a while, it would jam under these conditions. My guess is this is particular to the nails I am using but I don't know for sure. I have used all the tools other than the stapler, and they have worked to perfection. And the combo bag that holds all 4 tools is not too shabby either. I have to wonder why neither Home Depot close to my home stocks this item - corporate alliances perhaps? Highly recommend this set.

Rated 2 de 5 de par 3 out of 4 nail guns worked! The largest nail gun in the package is poorly made and an obvious a knock-off of a better made nail gun. The tell tale sign that this gun is a knock-off, are all the extra unused bosses protruding from the cast nose piece. The casting has been sloppily honed in the nail chamber, leaving many bumps and grooves. This causes the nails to hang up inside the chamber, causing the nail to enter the wood at an angle and incapable of driving the nail home. The Aluminum feeder was nearly 5 degrees off angle, causing the nails to miss-align. I corrected that problem but with all the other issues, this tool is completely useless and now resides in the landfill. The other three nailers/staplers, are not great but they do work.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great tool. Used 2 of the 4 tools so far, finisher and stapler. Works great after 6 hours of usage with porter 34 degree nails. Easy loading/unloading has not jammed once. Highly recommend and would purchase other tools by this brand.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Value for the DIY'er I had my wife purchase this for my birthday. I always have projects around the house but this is the first time I really needed multiple nail guns. Also planning on finishing my basement and will need the framing nailer as well. Used the brad and angled finish nailers for our coffered ceiling project in the formal dining room. I had never done a ceiling like this before so there was a lot of measuring and drawing done until we had the layout we liked. These guns performed fantastic. I couldn't tell you the difference between a $300 nail gun and $100 nail gun. For the average user doing DIY projects these guns should do the trick. I only had 2 small issues. 1) The non-marring tip from the finish nailer came off a few times when using it at odd angles. No big deal as it just slides back on. 2) Had to use a nail set on about 1-2% of the finish nails. This may have been operator error. When I held the gun firmly in place and pulled the trigger it seemed to set the nails properly. Only when working at odd angles did I have issues, but as I was working alone, it was unavoidable. The ceiling took about a month working only nights and weekends but we are so happy with the results. Now we need to find a nice chandelier that accentuates the amount of sweat equity I put into this project. I bet I told my wife at least 5 times that this was the best birthday present ever. FYI...I used Dewalt 2" and 2 1/2" angled finish nails and Dewalt brad nails.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Great product for the cost! Decent quality. OK for everyday use. Only issue is that it stops shooting with 4 nails left. Must only insert one sleeve and shoot a couple nails before inserting second sleeve of nails.

Do these come with nails and brads in the kit and how many?

Do these come with nails and brads in the kit and how many?
Posée par: bill
No, you have to buy them separately. If you read the specs, each gun takes a different range of sizes / guages of nails or staples. 21degree angled round head framing nails for framer (I think from 2.5" up to 3.5"), 15 gage angled finishing nails I can't recall the length range. Maybe 1.5-2.5" long, the brads are 18 G and as short as 3/4" or long as 1.5? and narrow crown 18 guage staples also come in various lengths of penetration. You have to buy the stock that best fits your project. for instance if you are nailing together little bird houses with very thin wood, you might only use 3/4" brads/ For upholstery you may need longer staples to penetrate layers of foam and still penetrate the wood. I bought the guns cause I needed a framing nailer to build a shed. I bought a 6 gallon pancake compressor by porter cable and started framing with 3" nails. Then I went to siding and used 2.5" ring shank nails still with framer. You only need to get a hose and a can of oil and off you go. Note that roofing nailers are different and work from coil stock and they are more money. Also there is a siding /fencing nailer that uses coil stock. so if you need to shoot stout, short nails for roofing or siding, you probably need a different type of nailer which might run more like 200 $ and uses a completely different type of gun and supply of nails. You can buy nails sold by porter cable, dewalt, many different companies. Just write down the specs of the guns and buy some nails for your projects as needed. Make sure to oil your guns before use with a drop or 3 of oil.

What type of oil do I need

Posée par: Daniel
The book states that : "The is uniquely designed not to need daily lubrication. But lubrication is required for best performance after long periods of use. Oil for pneumatic fastening tools is added through the airline connection and will lubricate internal parts. Do not use detergent oil or additives as these lubricants will cause accelerated wear to the seals and bumpers in the tool, resulting in poor tool performance and frequent tool maintenance." See photo for details of lubrication system recommended.

Can the 15ga or any of the others be used to install hardy board siding?

Can the 15ga or any of the others be used to install hardy board siding?
Posée par: kdt
None of these are siding nailers, the 15 gauge nailer is a trim/finishing nailers, so the heads of the nails will not be big enough for Hardie siding. I just installed Hardie siding on my house last year and used the Bostitch N66C-1 siding nailer. It worked well and it allows you to adjust the driving depth of the nails from the nailer itself instead of having to mess with the compressor, which is very convenient (especially up high). Hardie is a great product, but only if it's installed properly. Take the time to contact a Hardie rep and get an installation manual, it will tell you which nailers are acceptable along with which fasteners. The warranty is only valid if it's installed correctly, so don't waste your money trying to find a cheaper option on a nailer or other installation products, which will only cause you headaches later down the road.

Will the nailers handle smaller (length-wise) nails? I'm assuming the specified size is the max but curious if I could use smaller length in each of the nailers and it still work okay.
Posée par: Jamie
You are correct. The nail length stated in the description for each nailer is the MAX length. All will handle shorter. PFR2190 Framing - 2" to 3-1/2" PFN1564 Angled Finish - 1-1/4" to 2-1/2" PBR32 Brad - 3/8" to 1-1/4" PST9032 Stapler - 3/8" to 1-1/4" Hope this helps!

What kind of compressor do I need

Will the framing gun work with a 6gal 150 psi compressor? Will it work efficiently? Or will I need a bigger one
Posée par: Rubes
I just use a Dewalt pancake type compressor and it works just fine. I’m not sure of your type of compressor but I’d imagine you’ll be fine.

What nailer do i need to use to nail fence boards up

Posée par: Preston
Typically a coil siding/fencing nailer would be used for fencing. One like this: PCN50 - http://www.homedepot.com/p/Freeman-Pneumatic-2-in-15-Degree-Coil-Siding-Nailer-PCN50/206355870?keyword=pcn50
