Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Filter I have a 6-gallon Rigid shop vac and use it primarily for pulling saw dust off my Festool Kapex and Wen Drill Press. I also use it at the end of the day to clean up my wood shop for any remaining dust not sucked up with my Laguna 2h.p. DC. I run this 6-gallon shop vac w/ the VF3503 dust bag and a Rigid VF6000 HEPA media filter and would like to think my lungs are happier for it. Since I've not experienced any of the issues noted in the other reviews (Note: I'm generally not a very lucky person), I'm assuming the system w/ the advertised 0.3 micron filtration is working. Rigid: if you listening - please make a HEPA dust bag in the size B (5-10 gallon size)!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Absolutely contains dry wall dust I use these bags in my Rigid wet/dry vac with an extra hose and connect it to my Ryobi Orbital sander to sand drywall. (I use 220 grit paper). I know this is not recommended, but since I am not an expert drywall finisher, it does the job. I have tried just using an orbital sander with the little bag, but it doesn't really stop the dust, and it ruins the sander. This system keeps the dust to a minimum, and also keeps the sander from choking itself to death on the drywall dust. FYI: I tape the electrical cord to the extra piece of vac hose so it all stays a single unit and doesn't tangle up in the scaffold or ladder.

I used these vacuum bags as a pre-filter ahead of the standard pleated cartridge to remove drywall dust while sanding the walls and ceilings on a remodel job. They helped to keep about 90% of the dust from ever reaching the cartridge and clogging it up, and also completely eliminated the usual dust clouds that tend to pass through the exhaust of the shop vac. The only minor issue that I can recall was that the paper material will tear open if sharp objects are sucked through the hose while the bags are installed, rendering them useless. Otherwise, it's a perfect setup for drywall dust removal.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Don’t Need A Dust Collector After scouring the internet and researching whether or not to buy an actual dust collector, I opted to pick up the Ridgid 6.0 vacuum. Since the largest dust port I have is only a 2” on my miter saw, I felt the 4” port on a dust collector would essentially be overkill. And I think I was right! I know I wasn’t wrong getting the Ridgid instead!! It’s far exceeded my expectations, although I did upgrade to the Hepa filter before first use to aid in eliminating as much of the fine airborne dust as possible. If you’re thinking of using a shop vacuum for your home shop, think about getting this one. It does work!

Despite what the description may indicate, this is NOT for all 6-9 gallon wet dry vacuums. I am unsure if my WD06250 is too old or what but these bags are only capable of being used on units with a diverter nozzle on the inside of the where the suction hose connects. If your wet/dry vacuum does not have a diverter nozzle, there is nothing for the rubber ring/cardboard plate to slide onto. A look at Ridgid's site yielded the answer I should have looked for prior to ordering as an answer to someone else's questions... "Unfortunately, your vacuum WD0800 is not designed to have filter bags. Only the RIDGID® vacuums with an intake or suction port located on the drum are capable of using filter bags. Please note the following RIDGID® filter bags are available for the applicable wet /dry vac model #’s: Filter Bag VF3503 – WD0670 and WD0970" So there you have it; for use with 670 and 970 only. Seems like something useful to place in the description.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Quality is not worth the price. This is the 2nd set of these bags I've bought. The first seemed to work ok when vacuuming up my shop floors. However, the second set I began using has had problems with the bags tearing. The first bag tore will cleaning up after floor tiling, so I figured a sharp tiny piece of tile must have cut it. The second bag tore while I was using an electric drywall sander. (new bag) This is very frustrating as I use the bags in addition to the HEPA filter to prevent dust escaping into an occupied home. This bag split at one end where its folded at the factory. The bag was only about 20% full. This is unacceptable. I would expect this kind of quality from H..... Freight , but not Home Depot.

Rated 4 de 5 de par WD1060 It appears to be well made and durable. I have only used it once to remove the sand from a pool filter. The only problem I had was when I got down to close to the bottom of the filter the sand had some residual water and this combination I believe caused the hose to become plugged. Previously I had a smaller Shopvac which had a smaller hose and a less powerful motor and the same problem occurred. I was little surprised because the Rigid model has a larger hose as well as a much more powerful motor. I wish Rigid had included bag filter to extend the life of the cartridge filter, Overall I am quite pleased with this model and would highly recommend it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par AvMust have I was using a much smaller shop vac to do dudes around my shop. Thought I needed to upgrade to make my projects more feasible as far as cleanup and being able to hook up to other tools and get the maximum performance of sawdust removal. Man oh man am I glad I made this purchase! The power behind it is undeniable and gets the job done much quicker. Plus an added bonus you can purchase other accessories that make the job fit your cleaning needs. Spend the extra money and get what you want and get a job done and save time. Highly recommend it! I do wish the accessory ports on the base were more encased to house the extensions better, but not a deal breaker

I'm thinking of buying the RIDGID 10 Gal. 6.0 Peak HP Stainless Wet Dry Vac Model #WD1060. These Ridgid high-efficiency dust bags seem to come in either 4-9 Gallons or 12-16 Gallons. Or am I missing something?

I am getting an electric shock every time I touch the metal canister. It’s annoying when I walk past it and my leg brushes it, shock every time. Do they all do that?? If I exchange it will the new one do that as well??

Posée par: Sammy999
I have had that happen. Likely a static electricity issue.

You have a choice. Use Rigid's pleated filters or use bags. I believe Rigid, like some other brands, have varying grades of filters. So, some filter out finer particles while other filter less so. Rigid's website would show the different filter grades. However, there is only one model of bag. And they do a good job filtering out fine particles. My main reason for using bags (on any vacuum I own!) is due to not wanting to re-expose myself to what ever waste I vacuumed up. Also, the inside drum of the vacuum stays relatively clean using bags. Bags or pleated filters are all over priced in my opinion. But that fact is the same with most "shop vac" products. And it's hard to find generic products, though I haven't looked on-line lately. The other slight down side with Rigid bags is their size. I have their 9 gal. vacuum and the bag could be half again larger, at least. That said, unless you are doing contractor work (which I am not), a bag will last a long time before filling up. So, if you don't mind dumping out the debris from your vacuum's canister, then stick with pleated filters, and you can always periodically remove the filter and knock the dust off them and reinstall. Otherwise, I'd stick with bags.

In a word, Yes, I do. It helps to keep the bag in its proper location and shape. I had one bag that ruptured and it saved having a HUGE mess. BTW, it was probably my fault the bag ruptured as I did not check to see that the bag was filled to capacity before I started for the day

I had the same problem. Ridgid has a different web site for vacuum cleaners. Try goggle. I don’t recall the www.
