Rated 4 de 5 de par Good for Occasional DIYers I began migrating my cordless tools from B&D to One+ stuff about a year and a half ago. I watched the price on the bare tool version of this for some time. Then the holiday sale came along and here it was with a battery and charger for $20 cheaper than the bare tool sale price and the shipping was free. I have only used it once on a fairly light duty job, driving 2" deck screws through OSB into framing lumber. It handled it just fine, however it didn't feel quite as strong as my old NiCd B&D. I am going to try one of the high capacity batteries to see if that helps. I think it is a good choice for homeowner DIY projects, especially at the price I paid.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Handy tool and grat value. I was looking at this for about a month and last week I saw it was on sale for $49.99 at our local store. I grabbed it as it did come with both a battery and a charger. The charger that comes with this package only does a longer and slower charge. However, as I do have several other Ryobi tools with the faster charger that wasn't a problem. I can always use this new one for over night charging if needed. I needed to extend my vertical board fence about 50 feet and hang a pair of five foot wide gates on my six foot tall board fence and it did and excellent job. As far as the price, I feel like I just bought a new battery and was given the tool.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Quality tool, worth price I've been use this impact drill for at least 4 years with no problem at all, compare to other brands drills, I would recommend this cheap drill because the price, quality and easy hands on. The weight of this drill is just right, not like other brand light weight drills, when drive the screws to subject, always slip because the light weight, it doest happen to this drill

I am a beginner DIY'er and I am so glad this is one of the 1st power tools I bought (my first one was a cordless drill from B&D.. I wish I had known about Ryobi before). It has been hands down the best investment made in my home. The driver is light, easy to manage. Hats off to the magnetic base, which allows you to store all the fasteners, ensuring you don't have to go up and down each time you fasten a screw in the wall. Ryobi's One+ program is really awesome and good value for money for DIY'ers like myself. The only regret I have is not waiting until the holiday time, to save on the awesome bundles that HD carries on Ryobi products.

The Ryobi 18 volt one+ tools and chargers are as good as any others on the market. I am a maintenance contractor and have used them for years. The biggest gripe (and why I didn't give it 5 stars) is that the batteries aren't as good as the tools are, and the replacement batteries cost nearly as much as the tool+battery+charger does! When the batteries crap out, I wait until the tool goes on sale, and buy the kit all over again, as it's cheaper than just buying the batteries alone and just throw the old tool in a cabinet in the shop. I have nearly a full shelf of perfectly good Ryobi tools that have dead batteries attached to them because of this.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Best price for the year! I saw my contractor used this when he was doing my kitchen remodeling. It worked great for him so I ordered one for myself. The drill has a lot of power and it saved me a lot of time to drive the 2" screws into the wood stud in the garage compared to a regular drill. It comes with a mini charger and a Li-ion battery which makes it easy to carry around. I have a weed trimmer that uses the same battery so I have two batteries now and it double the service time of each tool. I loves the tool so much that I bought a Ryobi One+ 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Ultimate Combo Kit (6-Tool) for my son's new house. You can spend twice or more money on other brands (comes in different color) but I will stick to this green color to save my $$$.

Rated 5 de 5 de par One of the best purchases I've ever made when it comes to tools! I've owned the Ryobi 18v variable speed drill for about 10 years. The only thing I've had to replace on it were the older style nicad battery packs. I was looking for a Impact driver, when I found this one online. I ordered it sight unseen other than the online picture. I'm glad I did.The thing is a beast! I like the newer One+ Lithium battery as well which is still compatible with my older unit. It's lighter than the older nicad batteries and seems to last a lot longer on a single charge.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good Tool, Good Value When my older Ryobi Impact driver died, it would have cost $42 for a new trigger switch. I found this newer model for $59, so it was an easy decision. The Lithium Ion battery makes this driver lighter, and I can still use my older NiCad batteries. I'll also use the new battery on some of my other 18V Ryobi tools. The battery life has been very good. Be aware that the new impact driver doesn't have the LED light on the front of the driver. Also, the battery does not have charge indicator lights that I've seen on other Ryobi Lithium Ion batteries. Finally, I was surprised by the charger. It's a small "cup" that fits over the top of the battery, rather than the larger charger. It appears it will work just as well, as it has indicator lights to tell you when the battery is charged. It's also smaller & lighter, so it's more portable. All in all, this is a powerful, capable driver, that can get the job done, even if it's lacking a few bells & whistles.

Does it work on lug nuts?

Posée par: Allen
Generally no, for that you would need to have the 1/2 inch impact.

it works for changing Tires?

Posée par: Edpr
It will not loosen or tighten lug nuts. I use it to speed the nuts on and off after I have loosened them with a breaker bar of torque wrench and before I use a torque wrench tighten the nuts to spec. Ryobi does make a 1/2" impact wrench which I believe will do what you ask.

What is the big difference betwen the Impact driver and regular drills with adjustable clutch/Torque settings?

Posée par: Islander
Hi Islander. Thanks for considering Ryobi! An impact driver is great for driving long screws. You gonna get the impact action on the screw as well as driving action. A regular drill is great for drilling holes or short screws. If you are doing a lot of driving, a impact may be a great tool for you. We don't have a specific answer as to whether the battery would last longer on a drill vs a impact. Unfortunately, there are so many variables that can cause the battery to deplete like material, pressure, constant time used, and etc . We will saying drilling is usually used at a more constant pace, and that may be why them seem to deplete faster in the drill. If you have any further question, give us a call at 1-800-525-2579. We would be glad to help!

Hi Chris, This unit includes impact driver, 18-Volt ONE+ compact lithium-ion battery (P102) and dual chemistry charger (P119). Hope this helps!

Can I use it for tire change?

Posée par: Done
You would have to loosen them the first half turn or so with a larger tool then you could use this tool. It does not have the torque of a garage impact tool.
