Rated 5 out of 5 by from UNEXPECTED SAFETY BONUS This review is only preliminary, as the 'fridge was powered for the first time an hour ago, but I'm thankful the glass shelf was made of safety glass, which spared me a possible laceration as I pawed the interior of the unit for the first time. Don't know whether to blame FedEx or myself for the rough handling, but am grateful for the safety feature. Unit is quiet, and is cooling down nicely. It was chosen in the hope its interior width would accommodate our largest turkey pan all those days after Christmas. Regret the inability of manufacturers to list the INTERIOR dimensions of compact refrigerators. Gambled here, and won.

If the product description had specified that fact clearly up front, I would have bought a smaller fridge. The measurements suggest it should fit but the instructions that come with the fridge call for several inches of clearance. It turns out a compact fridge is not a mini-fridge.

But plugged it in after letting it rest for one day and when the compressor is running it is far too loud. Heavy buzzing and hum that you would expect from a 30 yr old fridge not a new appliance. I will be returning it very disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for dual purposes. Overall its a its a great fridge. It's helped with reducing the overload in my main fridge nicely. It holds what I use the most like my 2L drinking and 355ml drinking bottles nicely. It also holds what I use most nicely as well. It past my 2 major tests nicely, involving 2 cups of water. The top part also has helped with providing a 2nd counter for my sugar bowl and coffee whiter. I only have 2 complaints. One minor and one major. The minor one is, when it arrived it had 3 dings in the one side. Please see enclosed pictures The major one is the manual. I had to switch the doors around so it would work better in my unit. The manual didn't even show HOW to switch the freezer door around, and wasn't very clear on how to do that with the fridge door. However, it did pass my 2 major tests once it did its standing time and did earn its locks. Now the next problem/task is, trying to decide what pictures to print on photo-mat magnetic paper to put on it?

Have to be sure to close the freezer door till it clicks shut, otherwise ice cubes thaw. Can fit a couple of medium sized pizzas in the freezer if needed.

Hello Lin, Thank you for your question. The DCR045B1BSLDB-3 power input at 115V is 110W, the amps are 1.0 when running and 4.5 on start up (when the compressor starts up). Please note this is for In Home use and has not been tested on a solar generator. Regards Ann

Every ad I've seen for this fridge says it fits under the counter. However, one of the reviewers here says the fridge requires too much clearance to fit under a counter. Which is so. Can it be installed under the counter or not?
