Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great heat but do not last long Bought 7 for the whole house in the store. 3 of them had to return and replaced. 1 of them stop working after 1 year of being in use. Great heat but something is wrong. The store that I purchased all of them do not carry them anymore. Unfortunately, I will not buy them again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from À éviter Après quelque temps, des bruits de claquement et cillement ont débuté.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NIGHTMARE! Hi Dimplex staff, i bought this heater for my 4 yers old son room. I have payed 150$ for electrician to install it and it doesn't work! I will need to pay another 150$ to install it and this is not even my biggest problem. My son cant go to day care because he got sniffles and daycare don't allow kids with sniffles these days! he had 16 celsius in his room for 3 night in his room before i was able to get electrician back! what was happening is exactly as several people described in they reviews. It is shunting of and not coming back...I need to take atleast 3 days off + 2 afternoons off becouse of you faulty product!!!! my overall coast for heater is at least 1000CAD and sick son! many thank from this product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall good. You don’t need a wall thermostat...it’s digital on the baseboard itself. The plastic brackets used to space it from the wall could be improved... they are not the easiest to work with but do the job with a little extra effort.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult to install Bought these to replace old baseboard heathers at our cottage. Difficult to install. My contractor couldn’t install them. He had to get another election to install them. I still don’t know how to turn it on and off. It’s not user friendly product. Haven’t set up the smart thermostat yet so can’t comment on that functionality. The heat is released from the top better not to install curtains above it. Sizing choices was good.

These come with he controls and wireing on the right, can this be changed to the left?

Asked by: gregory
Controls stay on the right. But the left end can be used as a junction box, and the space under the heater as a wireway. Ive done this.

Hello. I am replacing heaters each with individual bi-metal thermostats. I will be installing the Dimplex smart baseboard heaters that do not require separate thermostats.  How do I wire he Dimplex heater to bypass the bimetal thermostat?

Asked by: Bogdan
Turn off the power to the heater. Remove the control for that heater and connect the two wires going to the thermostat so that the heater receives voltage to it at all times. Replace the thermostat with a blank cover. Replace the heater and then turn power back on and follow the instructions to program your heater if you have the wireless control otherwise all the controls are now on the heater.

This heater appears to offer twice the wattage of similar sized heaters (i.e. 2000 watts for 50" vs 1000 watts for 48" from other mfgrs.) I'm not seeing a ton of detail in the description on how this is achieved and if the heater will actually provide approximately double of the heat / performance. The wall space I have where 240v is available is only ~52", and the current 1000w heater does not heat the room effectively. On that basis, this seems like a good way to solve for more heat, but I would appreciate more detail on the difference between this product and the more typical models. Thanks!
Asked by: Steve
Good day Steve, Yes the Linear Proportional Convector Baseboard Heater is up to 42% smaller in length than conventional baseboards. Superior shark-fin blade design on a steel tubular element (stainless on 1500W, 2000W & 2500W units) for improved heat transfer, quiet operation and longer life. Up to 40% faster through top heat discharge, speeding dispersal of warm air into the center of the room. For more information, please contact us at 1-800-668-6663. Thank you, Glen Dimplex Americas Customer Service.

Is this 2000W model enough to heat a 450sq foot room? Or would I need two of them...

Asked by: AJEE
Good day Ajee, we recommend for a primary heat source with medium insulation- 10 watts per square foot, universally. For a more accurate result, please see our heat loss calculator on our website at www.dimplex.com. We would suggest a second unit for your space. Thank you, Glen Dimplex Americas Customer Service.

Hi, I want to replace the old baseboard heater (not connected to wall thermostat) with your product and wonder if Dimplex heaters can be connected to thermostat unit wireless? If so, do I have to use Dimplex thermostat or I can use other brands, particularly Nest? Thank you in advance!
Asked by: Eugene
Good Day Eugene, The LPC smart baseboards cannot be connected to any wall thermostats and you will have to use a DPCRWS, CX-MPC or CX-WIFI to control the baseboards. Thank You Glen Dimplex Americas Customer Service
