Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Air Flow I have this fan from around 2 years, this fan's fastest speed 3 is speed 1 compared to a Hampton Bay fan I have which has a high speed 3 of 5043 CPM and 1793 at speed 1. This fan does not even list it's CPM in the manual. I'm shopping around for two new fans which should have more than 6000 CPM to replace Hunter models 27553 and 27291.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan for a great price! This fan arrived promptly and was relatively easy to install. It looks great, isn’t too loud and moves enough air. Very good value for the price!

When using the light switch, neither the fan nor the light come on automatically. They must be turned on using the remote. Kind of defeats the purpose of having the light kit. Otherwise, the fan is great. Very quiet and the light is quite bright.

I love the color choices of the blades and had a hard time deciding which side to use! The globes are a nice shade as well. Glad I purchased this!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very low air flow My wife and I bought 2 Hunter HIGHBURY for the first floor of our house, they look very nice, we liked the design, it was easy to assemble for us, the materials look strong, they look new after 2 years. However our house is small, the AIR FLOW of these fans is VERY LOW, almost do not feel the air, the maximum speed is like the slow speed of the Chinese fans that we have in the second floor. We are thinking to REPLACE them before next summer to other model with MORE AIR FLOW.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Remote stopped working 3 times in 9 months We installed this fan in our master bedroom 9 months ago. Within one month the remote stopped working. It wasn't the batteries. You have to cut the power to reset the unit which means using the circuit box for us. Inconvenient to do. We reset it and it worked for a while then stopped again. We reset it again. This time the remote doesn't work AND the light fixture doesn't work at all (even using the pull chain). Along with the significanct issues listed above the lower level fan speeds produce too little air flow. Even without the remote problems this fan was not worth the money. Pop

Rated 1 out of 5 by from will never buy another hunter product !!!!!!!! me and my wife put this fan together ,the screws that come with very cheap once everything was put together fan worked fine light not at all when you pull the chain no click nothing happens contacted company they already knew why we where calling ?We where told that part was on backorder SHOCKER well one month later got the new part took it out of the box ? nothing hooked it up anyway as junk as the first one !you would think if your shipping a replacement part you would at least test it ? well maybe this is why the quality control is not on the top of HUNTERS list.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just doesnt blow enough air.. So I bought this recently to replace my 12 year old Hunter fan that was starting to look a little outdated for my tastes. I chose another Hunter because off their positive reputation and my good experience with them in the past. I really like how user friendly Hunter makes installation and assembly. The instructions were clear, the wiring was easier than I expected and it even included extras (CFL bulbs and a remote) which were a nice touch! But as soon as I turned the fan on, I knew it wasn't going to be a keeper. High speed moved about half as much air as the previous fan and medium was next to useless. Needless to say, it came down pretty quick. I wanted to like this one,but it simply doesn't perform. I guess older Hunter fans are the way to go.
