The Husky Nanook is a compact and quiet central vacuum system that features an impressive 133.6 in. of water lift and 133,7 CFM of air flow along with its 602 air watt. Elegant and stylish with an all metal construction, including high end baked enamel epoxy on the cylinder as well as a brushed aluminum finish, this Canadian manufactured central vacuum is ultra-quiet with a sound rating of only 60 dB. In fact, its so quiet that it does not require a muffler. The Nanook accumulates the vacuumed dust in a disposable filtration bag. The vacuums electronic module with soft-start/stop technology helps to increases the motors durability and also has a handy LED status indicator with instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than a Dyson I have flooring throughout and nice area rugs. I went with a model spec'd in for a larger home (mine is 2700 plus basement). Excellent power and suction and quiet. Hose length great. Does not destroy my turkish silk rugs pulling the threads out like a dyson did. I did get a rug accessory (flat plastic wand) for the non textured rugs. It would be nice to have an accessory hanger for the rest of the pieces (there is a clamp for the wand and metal hanger for hose- that's it). Also, this was a replacement unit for me and it was a surprise that there was no inlet in actual canister for garage car care kit but I can add an inlet in garage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, Quiet & Powerful 1. Unit is shorter and much more space efficient than what it replaced 2. Unit is MUCH quieter that I imagined. It makes 1/10th the noise as the air sucking out of the end of the hose. The unit is in my woodshop, and I was worried that it would make me jump when someone else started to use the vacuum elsewhere in the house. But it makes less noise that a cordless drill. 3. Powerful lvaccum. I have this installed in a 2000 sq ft house, with full 2000 sq ft basement. Unit is in far corner, and full suction everywhere with 5 separate outlets spread out across both floors.

Exceptionally quiet and very powerful, it is a perfect fit in our new condo townhouse. Highly recommended.

I did not realize that it used bags that are not available at Home Depot. This is an inconvenience but I am willing to try (haven't ordered replacements yet). So far it seems quiet and lots of suction power and could use a manual switch for direct connection.

1. Does the box contains all the required items i.e. pipes etc.. 2. How long is the pipe. My house is 1500-1900 square feet. The vacuum hose is on the middle of ground and first floor.

Hello Kashif, Piping and inlet installaion for central vacuum systems are not sold with the vacuum. There are various installation options from do it yourself to having it professionally installed. Three and four inlet kits are available for DIY installation. It is optimal if you have it roughed in but with creative piping placement; the piping can be installed if your walls are already finished by utilizing closets and attics. To make the decision to upgrade to a central vacuum system you need to consider the installation costs. It could be $0 if you are replacing an old unit, but could be several hundred dollars depending on the complexity of the interior of your home.

I am no pro but dirt is affected by gravity too. So I would not recommend installing your unit horizontally.
