Burcam Contractor Sump Buddy Backup Pump
Homeowners have peace of mind with the BURCAM Contractor Sump Buddy. This pump works with your existing electrical sump pump to help reduce the risk of flood damage to your property and your valuables. It does not require electricity or a battery to function, but is powered by your municipal water supply. It is easily connected to the municipal water supply line and to your existing conventional sump pump discharge line. In the event of a power outage or an electric pump failure, the rising water in the sump will activate an automatic control valve which will start the system. Water under pressure will flow through the Contractor Sump Buddy which creates a vacuum and causes the water in the sump to be drawn out into the discharge line. The pump and valve are made of brass for strength and longevity. The valve includes a UL-certified backflow preventer to prevent contamination of the municipal water supply. The maximum head is 15 feet and the capacity is up to 1200 US GPH.
