Ideal for setting wood or metal fence posts, signs, footings, and recreational structures like basketball or swing set posts; this mix eliminates the need for pre-mixing—simply pour dry material into the hole, position the post and add water. With an initial set in as little as 15–20 minutes, it minimizes bracing, reduces construction delays, and prevents rain washouts or surface depressions. Delivering strong, durable performance with up to 2500 PSI (17.2 MPa) compressive strength, it’s engineered for reliable results where a minimum thickness of 2 inches is required. QUIKRETE Concrete Mix is used for general construction and repair of concrete where a thickness over 2 inches (5 cm) is required. It can be used for such projects as driveways, sidewalks, patios, steps, footings, setting of posts. Can be mixed with Quikrete Bonding adhesive (SKU # 1000143115 and SKU# 1000149566) for increased adhesion, durability, and flexibility. We recommend applying Quikrete Cure and Seal (SKU #1000142722) for the easiest, and most convenient curing (please follow instructions). Concrete can be hand troweled, power troweled, broom finished or finished with other specialty finishes.
