This stuff worked great to remove white mold from unfinished wood areas on an antique headboard, footboard, wooden bed rails and vanity I bought at an auction (back, inside of vanity, wood support rails). It doesn’t have a strong odor. I sprayed the areas with clear sealer and it’s good as new.

After it is sprayed on it needs to sit. We left it overnight. Where we sprayed well, the areas turned white/grey. We resprayed and let it sit. The next day we washed the basement wall with bleach and the wall looked really good.

Is this effective in killing mushrooms growing in floor tiles, wall in basement?

    Asked by: mmbc
Hi mmbc, Thank you for your question and interest in Concrobium products. While Concrobium Mold Control will kill the fungus producing the mushrooms, simply spraying Concrobium Mold Control will not be enough. Mushrooms are a sign of a larger mold problem. Removal of the tiles and fixing the root cause of your moisture source is highly recommended. Even though Concrobium Mold Control is used by both homeowners and professionals, it is important to remember this product is to be used as part of a comprehensive mold remediation or water damage restoration program. We hope this answers your question. Feel free to contact us again if you require further information.

Hi Dave, Thank you for your question and interest in Concrobium products. Concrobium Mold Control is completely non-toxic and is safe to use on baby items such as your stroller where mold growth is present. This is safest solution on the market for mold remediation. The product is also water soluble. If you wanted to wash away any leftover residual, using warm to hot water is all that is required. We hope this answers your question. Feel free to contact us again if you require further information.

I forgot nd mould on the inside rubber part of my front load washing machine,Can I use this product to get rid of the mould

    Asked by: Newbie
Hi Newbie, Thank you for your question and interest in Concrobium products. We’ve had customers report good success treating the front rubber ring and other parts of front-end loaders … give it a try! Just make sure it dries before running the unit again – remember Concrobium Mold Control works as it dries. Once you have sprayed the solution on the moldy surface and allowed it to dry, the mold has been encapsulated and eliminated – in other words, your mold problem has been eradicated. Concrobium Mold Control contains no bleach or whiteners and will not change the colour or appearance of the mold. If staining or residue remains, scrub with a cloth or brush dampened with Concrobium Mold Control – or take other cosmetic steps to improve the look of the surface like Concrobium Mold Stain Eraser. Remember that once the cleaning step is complete it’s important to leave a layer of Concrobium Mold Control on the surface to provide mold resistance. Since this is an area where moisture can build up over time, we recommend frequent reapplication of Concrobium Mold Control, as excess moisture will wash away the preventative film. We hope this answers your question. Feel free to contact us again if you require further information.

I have superficial mold on OSB board in a small enclosed attic space. Does the surface have to be completely dry prior to using this product?

    Asked by: Dean1976
Hi Dean1976. Thank you for your question and interest in Concrobium products. Yes, the surface does need to be completely dry prior to application of the Concrobium Mold Control. We recommend 20% or less of moisture content within the surface to be treated. Too much moisture within the surface can either cause dilution of the product and at that point we cannot guarantee its effectiveness, or it could mean that the surface stays continuously wet. Considering the fact that Concrobium Mold Control works as it dries, neither of these situations would be ideal. Try running fans and/or a dehumidifier to help with the drying process prior to getting started.

I moved my grand piano from summer home to permanent home and discovered mould underneath and on the lid. Will concrobium damage the mahogany surface ?
    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi. Thank you for your question and interest in Concrobium products. Concrobium Mold Control is EPA-registered for and effective on both hard and fabric surfaces, including wood, drywall, tile, stone, cement, masonry, fabric, upholstery and virtually any other household surface. This includes your mahogany on your piano. We do recommend however, with items of more value that you inquire with a professional restoration company regarding professional remediation. If you decide to use Concrobium Mold Control we do recommend that you test it on an inconspicuous area first. Also, we would recommend that you try controlling the application of the product by dampening a clean cloth or sponge with the Concrobium Mold Control and wiping over the affected surfaces. This not only lift any visible mold growth, but it will apply a nice even layer on the surface to eliminate any mold that may be present, and provide some mold resistance.
