Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Vibration Sound The heater make a horrible vibration sound when power is cycled to maintain temperature at low power. I didn't have this issue with the old baseboard heater that I replaced with this one. I am very disappointed in the quality. Maybe the heating element is not well supported and vibrates the whole assembly at 60 Htz?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stay away from these heaters I bought 2500W (Nov 2020), I installed it, and it didn't work. I wasted a lot of time testing my installation from panel to heater and back - couldn't find any problems. Spend money on a new thermostat thinking maybe .. Finally, I test the heater, here again, an out-of-the-box faulty situation, Stay away from these heaters - there's a severe manufacturing defect. I'm frustrated I don't need this kind of experiences now :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unreliable - mine lasted one winter I have 4 of these and only 1 still works. Even that one fails to cycle properly and who wants to crawl on the floor playing with a tiny digital display anyway. Dimplex sent me replacement "DISPLAY BOARD AND SENSOR ASSEMBLY PC" units which no local electrician knew what to do with. Ironically the service person told me it was an easy fix. It's not worth buying appliances that cannot be fixed locally. These are going to the dump. Meanwhile my cheapo 20yo baseboards are chugging along just fine.

I would like to install one of these in my kids games room. Would this be a good application?

Asked by: MomBuilder
Good afternoon, These units are CSA and UL approved for residential use. Due to the smaller size of our Linear Convectors, and the fact that they operate on the principles of top discharge, they can be placed anywhere in the room, but installation instructions must be followed that are provided with each unit. You can find installation instructions for the LC here, and for the LPC here. dimplex.com Thank you

What thermostat could I use to control two of these heaters connected in parallel at 240V ?

Asked by: Mike
You must use a line voltage thermostat whose capacity equals the total wattage of the two heaters. Example: two 1500W heaters can be controlled from a single thermostat with a minimum rating of 3000W. If your total heater wattage totals more than 3000W, you will have to go with a higher capacity thermostat. These units are usually rated at 4000W.

what size breaker and wire please

Asked by: Anonymous
Depends how many baseboard heaters you have on the circuit. For up to around 3500kw you would need a 20 Amp Double breaker 240v. The cable for this would be the red 12/2.
