It doesn't keep up with the volume of leaves that can be thrown into the top. The cutting lines wear down fairly fast, do to the small twigs I think. Then the leaves start piling up around the inside edges just out of reach of the cutting line. Changing the cutting lines was a hassle the one time I've done it. I'm over 70 with stiff hands. Cutting line replacements don't seem to be readily available in the required size except from Earthwise. Fortunately it came with a few spare cutting lines. Normally we use about twenty five or so 39 gallon bags for leaves. This year with the Earthwise Leaf Shredder we just filled our two 96 gallon trash containers in a couple hours on a couple different collection weeks. It's a messy operation. Good eye protection and gloves are recommended. I like ear protection too. I normally don't make recommendations and this is the only shredder of this type I've ever used. I chose it because it has a stand that looked right.
