Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adaptor propane tank hose Just what I was looking for. Not into big bbq. I Have a portable bbq that I use for beach runs And picnics.. but I use this portable Coleman at home which I want to use a 20lbs tank and this is why I bought the adaptor hose for. Works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Propane Adapter Hose I purchased this hose to work with my cuisinart poratable bbq using a 20lb tank. The heat distribution with this hose works much better than the smaller green portable tank. I would definitely recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good solid product with reasonable price This was the product I needed to use regular 20lb gas tank with my portable BBQ that normally requires 1lb disposable cylender. Now I don't have to worry about out of the gas and this will for sure save me some money in the long run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No problems with Weber Q, and much better length. I tested this item against the Weber hose (6501) and found no performance differences at all, so to me this one is by far the better value. Not sure if the previous reviewer had a bad unit, didn't seat it properly, or what. In my tests, both successfully heat my Weber Q 120 to the same temp in the same amount of time. e.g. both heat to 500 -- according to Weber lid thermometer -- in 1:24. Both heat to 600 in 3:30. (Testing with lid closed, grate removed). Not exactly hard science, but I think this reasonably demonstrates there is no appreciable difference in gas flow, at least for this application. So all that remains to be compared are other factors like length, fittings, and... price. The physical differences between the two hoses is that this one is 2 feet shorter, and has the POL/Type3 connector style for the cylinder instead of the Weber's QCC1/Type1 connector. 6ft is unnecessarily long in my opinion, especially when the tank is sitting on the ground immediately under the bbq. In fact, sitting on the Weber stand, I really only need about an 18" hose. But this 4 footer sits neatly without having to loop it around. As for the connectors, I've learned that all modern QCC/Type1/Acme cylinder valves permit both types of connectors (either QCC1 or POL) (notice there's both an inner threading, and a big outer thread on the standard tanks).

Will this connect a propane torch to a 20# bottle or a small disposable bottle?

Asked by: Gary
I am not sure about a torch as it was purchased for a barbecue. I would recommend calling or emailing the manufacturer to answer that question

Will this work for a Grillmate Portable Gas BBQ?

the packaging says you can attach to large format Propane cylinders with 4ft adapter hose(not included though) will this do the trick? i see nothing in my Manual about this.
Asked by: Anonymous
It will most likely work, it's a universal part. However, you should call Grillmate and double check with them first.

Will this work with a Propane Distribution Post, that allows for the operation of three appliances off one tank?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hooking this barbecue up to any tank other than a 5, 10 or 20lb refillable cylinder will void the warranty.
