would a pair of these boards hold a 125 lb TV, if a pair of parallel 50" long boards were attached to our 2" x 6" wall studs (24" spacing), using 3.5" long 5/15" dia lag screws, i.e., such that the would each be attached to three studs, and the 30" wall plate holding the TV would then be attached to the center stud (and board) using 3.5" x 5/8" lag screws, and say four 3/4" long 5/8" (or quarter inch) diameter lag screws on each of the top and bottom boards, i.e., two left of center and two right of center, going thorough the steel back plate (at most 1/8" thick) on both top and bottom boards?
Asked by: knowledgeableUser
No, you'd better off using a hardwood board instead of Pine. Pine is too soft and could possibly break off under the weight of the TV.

would this work for a header board for a barn door?

Asked by: KS
yes but you need to paint, seal or stain it afterwards or you could use a pressure treated board.

What type of stain should I use? It's not accepting the mineax stain

Asked by: LJC
Since pine is so soft and porous I always use stain + polyurethane in one.
