Model # 108770 Store SKU # 1000108770

Panel that is easy to cut, drill and nail for projects not requiring structural panels. 1/4 OSB panels are manufactured using wood strands and waterproof adhesives, and do not contain added urea-formaldehyde resins. The wood strands are arranged in cross-oriented layers to provide strength and performance properties similar to an equivalent thicknesses of plywood. The result is a wood panel that is consistent in quality with no core voids. No special tools are required to work with the panels.

It not only did as intended but is still in good shape after that rough use and is still in decent shape, better than I had hoped. I would use it again for other uses.

Can this be used under laminate planking on basement concrete, or it's too thin?

The bigger concern is OSB's performance in the presence of moisture. In damp conditions it could absorb moisture and swell at its edges, causing the laminate to buckle. Most discussions I've seen regarding laminate on concrete recommend a vapour barrier, such as Delta FL or AlinO.

Hi John, The 1/4 in. x 4 ft. x 8 ft. Aspen Osb Sheathing Board can be used as a sub-flooring. Use with Vinyl planking is acceptable.

1/4 inch plywood and/or OSB does not provide proper structural support for any type of roofing, let alone for foot traffic. Your local code should provide proper recommendation/requirements for your area.

Difficult to answer without knowing what type of flooring you plan to install. Regardless, be very careful opting for the "cheapest" solution. It'd be a shame to go through the work to install new flooring only to have to replace it again because of using the wrong product. Vinyl planking and sheet vinyl will likely be more forgiving than ceramic/porcelain tile and you can use OSB for subflooring on that. For tile, I would only use an appropriate thickness of actual plywood to limit floor flexing (tile cracking) combined with tile backerboard.

I am replacing my roof DIY and the rotted sheathing appears too small to me. What is the recommendation for roofing sheathing thickness in OSB. If I do not replace all the sheathing boards, do I need to stick with what is already on the roof? Thanks

Unless you plan to replace the entire roof deck, you need to, at minimum, match the thickness of the other material. Your local building code will determine what materials are appropriate and required and how that material is to be fastened down to the roof framing. As advice, don't skimp anywhere.....your roof protects everything below it.

OSB mills in the US and Canada are self sufficient in heat energy for both process and internal building heat. They also meet or exceed all local and national environmental regulations. Since OSB is exempt from ISPM 15 regulations so it can be used in all crating and packaging materials used in export.
