Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failure rate 50% I have had good luck with ridgid cordless tools but bad luck with batteries and chargers. I have purchased 3 different combo kits or drills (because of theft and insurance replacement etc.) My first two chargers (Double quick chargers with fans) quit working on one side and the fans now run continuously. I have had three types of batteries with the lythium ion being the latest. I have had 1 for two of all three types of battery fail. I now have : -1 reciprocating saw. -1 circular saw. -1 flashlight -2 hammer drills -1 drill -1 impact drill and a total of 3 working batteries for all of these tools.(7 tools / 3 batteries.) I am not the kind who keeps receipts so I guess I am hooped. Bottom line? I am dissapointed with the batteries but happy with the tools.

Has rigid discontinued the 24v battery charger, and if so how do I charge my tools Drill, sawall etc.

Asked by: Anonymous
The Home Depot does not sell it anymore off the shelf. You could order it from the store possibly, or purchase it online. Perhaps a service center may have one as well.

What is its battery No?

As the battery No is crucial in determining which battery chargers are applicable.
Asked by: Anonymous
Ridgid 18 v batteries all have the same footprint. Be careful to charge Lithium batteries on lithium chargers and NiCads on NiCad chargers. We do have some models of chargers that do both kinds of batteries. The chargers look the same at first glance, so be sure to read the labels on the chargers before charging the batteries.

How do you charge it?

Can it be charged while plugged into Ridgid radio?
Asked by: MirandaMacNeill
No. The radio is not a charger directly. You can use a 12volt adapter (cigarette lighter adapter) and then plug the Ridgid Lithium Ion Charger into that. Then that will charge the battery..
