Rated 1 out of 5 by from Set too fast!! Followed directions and immediately started using it. In less than two minutes, it became really hard to push out the tube tip. The product went off in the mixing tip and was hard before I could even use less than half of it. Sika need to allow some working time. after five minutes the tip was rock hard and hot from the epoxy curing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product We use Anchorfix regularly for stonework. The store should stock extra mixing tubes to purchase. However, you can also squeeze the product onto a mixing board and blend it without the mixing tube. Yes, it does set very quickly and is very strong - those are benefits. New users should buy a tube and test it first to make sure it suits their application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bonds like steel!!! Great product!!! It's very fast setting so have your project components ready as there is very little working time. This worked out very well for me as this product has a fast curing time so I was able to complete my project sooner. Bonds like steel!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great. Needs applicator Works as advertised. Very fast setting time and extremely strong. FYI requires some kind of special applicator!!!! A calking gun is not going to cut it if you're doing more than one tube... Your hands will fall off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sika always delivers Excellent fast setting epoxy. Have all components staged and ready before cutting your tube. Use the entire tube continuously, no stopping, and the tube won't jam up on you. It is hard with a manual caulking gun. I did 4 tubes and needed a break between each one. Crushed 2 caulking guns on those 4 tubes, so a special gun or battery operated one is a good idea. Also, an Organic Vapor mask is working indoors. The fumes are potent, but pass within 4-6hr with ventilation.

I'm mounting a hollow chain link post into an exsisting round concrete hole with maybe a 1/2 inch of clearance between the post and the hole. Will i have time to fill the 6 inches of depth before inserting the post?

Asked by: Martin
This is an excellent product but it does cure quite quickly. I suggest you plug the bottom of the post with wood or foam before inserting it into the hole as otherwise the greatest volume of the glue will go inside the pipe where it's mostly redundant. Otherwise you should be fine.

I'm going to use this to secure 6x6 post bases with 5/8" rebar on them. What size hole should I drill to ensure adequate epoxy in the hole for the saddle?

Asked by: Hacker
Thank for your question. For 5/8” rebar the ideal size is a 25/32” to 7/8” hole. Most important to a successful install is to remove all cement dust from the hole before using the anchoring adhesive. Ideally the hole should be dry and free from standing water.
