Rated 5 out of 5 by Dundee from This is compact and very useful [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tray is thick plastic, not the kind that cracks. It comes with the LED light kit. The light can be hung from above or it can fit onto the top of the dome with suction cups. The LED light has an on-off switch that also gives you the option to dim the light. The tray has rows for watering from below. The grow cups or plugs sit on the ledges between the recessed rows. If you put the light kit on top of the dome, it is about 12” from your seedlings when they are just getting started. This is good so that they don’t stretch and dampen off. It also comes with instructions and a booklet about planting and hydroponic growing.

I've wasted so much time trying to plant seeds into my raised beds, this makes gardening a joy again. I've started some beets seed, once they've sprouted I'll plant the entire sprout pod into my raised beds. No more thinning, no more having seeds move around when I water. The kit comes with easy to follow instructions, grow guide, LED Light you place over growing tray, (or hang). Viagrow also offers ideas and product that you might like to use. I got the seed pods and loved them.

It comes with everything you need except the medium and as there are so many choices, that's up to you. The base is sturdy enough to use potting soil right in the container. The dome is a full 7" above the tray giving your seedlings plenty of time to get sturdy before planting. The dome has air vents so you can control the humidity in the kit. There is also a grow light included with LED lights so the area won't get too hot. There is also a dimmer included in case you are propagating low light plants. It's just a perfect little set up that I am very happy to have as one of my garden tools.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We wanted to get an early start on the growing season for our vegetable plants, and are thinking of doing some herbs this winter with this seedling station. Its a well thought out and put together station, with the grow light custom designed to sit on top of the propagation dome. Also included in the kit are wires that you can use to hang the light over the grow table if you choose to. The included dimmer switch is a great plus, allowing you to control the amount of light on your plants. The grow tray is made from a heavy and durable plastic that should last for years of veggie starts. All in all, I think its a great investment for whatever indoor growing you may want to do!

The grow station tray and doom are made of sturdy plastic to hold up for many uses. The doom is 7" tall with vents that allows for growing many types of plants from seeds. Also included is a LED grow light that includes a dimming switch. Just add the growing medium, plant seeds, and water. Great for and small indoor herb or greens garden or starting seeds for outdoor planting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Seeding Station is a good idea for growing herbs or starting seeds/seedlings in the spring but it seems kind of expensive for what you get. The kit is a good size and it comes with a dimmable LED grow light. The clear cover has adjustable vents which is a nice feature but the plastic of the cover is so thin it can barely support the grow light, could easily be damaged and is the reason I rated the kit 4 stars. The grow light can be mounted on top of the cover or suspended from the inside top of it. The tray is made of sturdy material which should hold up for many seasons. No growing medium is included. This kit can be returned within 90 days. I am looking forward to starting some herbs soon.

I'm using the propagation kit to help me with some seedlings. It's quite easy to set up and put together as you can gather from the photos. The light kit is dimmable and there is an instruction booklet to help those who are new at propagation. I have a few small containers that I put inside the kit with seedlings and I'm waiting to see what happens, as I've only had this kit for about a week. I'll keep you posted.

The kit has just about everything you need to get started. The clear plastic dome is vented so you can control both heat and humidity. The full spectrum LED light is dimmable. So you can adjust the light from plants that like full sun. To plants that like less sunlight. Great little seed starter kit.
