Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work in one night I feel good doing what is right, as a animal lover I couldn’t ask for something better thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works! I really wanted to try humane methods to deal with mice prior to needing to escalate to other means. I had read some very good reviews and watched a demo video for these traps so I picked up two to start with They are very easy to use. I trapped a mouse within about 24 hours, using peanut butter as bait. It was easy to slide open the trap to release the mouse afterward. Although the instructions do say these traps can be reused, please keep in mind that if you do plan to reuse the traps, the mouse will make a mess inside so be prepared to spend time cleaning and disinfecting. Otherwise, you could purchase several and throw any used ones away once you've caught and released the mice. I would recommend that that if you are using these traps, to place the tunnel side right up against the wall as mice tend to travel along the walls, or behind appliances, under the sink, etc, where evidence of mice are seen. I don't think mice would approach the trap if placed in the centre of a room. It should work if you follow the instructions and advice online. I would definitely would recommend this product if you want a humane way to deal with a mouse problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not effective on field mice I put the baited trap next to the foundation, but obviously none of voles dared to enter into the device. For the sake of experiment, I added pieces of food under the hood (before trap's latch) and close to the trap. Mice ate all baits around the trap, but did not put a step under the plastic roof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caught 6 mice in 4 attempts. Caught 6 mice with 4 attempts. This works very well. Mice go in and then patiently wait to be released. (Note: the damage to the lid in the picture is my own fault. Mice didn't do that).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use. Caught the mouse within 12 Hours. Have had a mouse problem for weeks. Bought the trap last night at Home Depot, put a small dab of peanut butter in the trap and let it set over night. The next morning, my furry nuisance was captured alive. I released it a few miles away in a wooded area. It was a little dirty from the peanut butter, but no worse for wear. It scampered away unscathed. Thank you for selling such an inexpensive and effective product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Utterly useless I read the product reviews before purchasing this trap and, after having done so, never doubted for a second that it would work. I was sure I was going to be able to solve my mouse problem. I purchased two traps, heavily baited them with peanut butter, and waited. I check the traps every few hours. Repeatedly, I find mouse droppings ALL AROUND the trap, but one has never gone inside. I thought that perhaps they were too large to enter the tunnel (although the size of the droppings suggests otherwise) so, with the hefty wad of peanut butter still inside, I left a trail of sunflower seeds up the ramp with a generous helping at the top. The sunflower seeds are gone and still, there is no mouse in my trap. The only thing I can think of is that the ramps in my traps are not descending. The mouse is merely walking to the top and finding himself unable to get through to the peanut butter. I REALLY don't want to kill these mice but am rapidly running out of options.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficult to open - Doesn't Hold I purchased two of these units (price was right). I found it difficult to actually open these units, almost like the tracking is not lined up correctly. I thought it may have just been the one however, both proved difficult to open. Caught first mole within 6 minutes of placing trap. He escaped within a half hour. Caught second mole quickly as well, he escaped within 10 minutes. Price is right, rodents do not get hurt :) however, unless you stay on top of the trap and IMMEDIATELY relocate the rodent, they will escape.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mouse eventually eats through these I've now tried 2 of these traps, having caught a total of 3 mice and a mole several times. I watched the mole escape, noticing that it chewed through the top part that the metal piece that is supposed to trap the mice in is supposed to lean on. The same thing happened with the second one I tried, however it seems just the mice chewed it this time. Today I caught a small mouse, and it escape before I could take care of it. Definitely don't recommend this product, and I'm going to try a metal mouse-friendly trap.

When I close the lid the metal leaver is stuck, won't move; the mouse can't even get inside. What's going on?

Asked by: Lenny
Not sure what you mean by leaver. Mouse goes up the ramp, it tips into box, mouse steps off ramp and ramp goes back up trapping mouse inside. As long as that ramp moves freely the trap is working.

With this trap not being transparent and see through, how do you know when a mouse is caught in it? I'd prefer not to have to open the trap regularly to see if a mouse is in it, as it may escape from the trap and possibly run up my arm when I did so.

Asked by: Tonto
You will have to slide open the lid to see if there are mice inside of the trap.

Does this also work on chipmunks?

Asked by: AAndK
We do not have testing information for using this trap for chipmunks and cannot recommend using it for that purpose.
